Cops seize 19KG (app. 669,721 pounds) of pot in Amsterdam

Customs official in Amsterdam have found 19,000 kgs of ready-to-use marijuana on a shop in the city’s harbour, news agency ANP reports on Friday.

The drugs have a street value of €60m, the agency says. Five people have been arrested. The drugs were found by sniffer dogs hidden in a consignment of nuts. It is the biggest drugs seizure in the Netherlands this century, police said.

How does 19,000 kgs equal "(app. 669,721 pounds)"? Unless the number of pounds per kilo has changed recently, I think it might be a little off. :wink: Peace.

I agree, 19,000 kgs would be closer to 42,000 pounds. Doing math when stoned should always be triple checked!

I just found that so funny I had to post a comment....

Why did they hide it on the shop? Surely there are better places to put 19,000kgs than on a roof?
