Cannabutter
Eating cannabis is a very effective alternative to absorbing it through your lungs. The only problem is that you don’t get the instant hit that inhaling delivers. Whereas smoking is almost as quick as pumping THC straight into your bloodstream, after eating, the effect creeps up slowly.
Cannabis doesn't degrade with heating so it’s easy to use it in cooking. It doesn’t taste very good though. It’s generally necessary to disguise it with strong flavourings.
A better method is to exploit the oily nature of the active ingredients in cannabis (the cannabinoids) by extracting them into "Cannabutter". The method is quite simple:
Boil up a mixture of grass or ground-up hash with water and butter for at least 20 mins, then stick it in the fridge until the butter has solidified into a dirty-looking layer on top of the water. Chuck away the water and use the butter to make your cakes.
