Last minute winners!!
Bump!
Oh the joys of an injury time winner!!!
As I type this I have no voice.....well a broken, husky shell of a voice.
The reason, Football. Well, the Heart of midlothian F.C. to be precise.
You see, I should be at my work now, but instead Im euphoric!
Having conceeded an equaliser quite late in the game, to the steelmen ( Motherwell F.C.) it looked to be heading for a dull 1-1. The board went up, and thanks to a lengthy stoppage of play mid-way through the second half, it read 5 mins. The Roar went up, the Auld stands were shaking and rumbling with anticipation as The men in maroon surged forward, a ball in the box, seemingly harmless, a half arsed swipe by the Motherwell centre half sends the ball as far as the edge of the box.
As far as the spaniard Ruben Palazuelos, a sitting midfielder with only one goal to his name in his entire career as an HMFC player. Whats worse, it falls to his Right foot, only good for standing on some say....
He sclafs it into the crowded box, the keeper looks to have it covered.....
.......DEFLECTION.......
.....GOAL!!!.......
I tumble down two rows.....drop my phone......spilling all the change in my pockets....bruises on both shins....
....Football.......you can't beat it!!

Just popped to the local supermarket to get some beers, and noticed the local team on the front cover of the local rag...
some how ive missed this.... god knows how...
but Chalfont St Peter, the village i grew up in, and the team i played for from u11's up to u18's, are in the 1/4 finals of the fa vase!!!
they even had a healthy crowd of 500! thats 490 more than normal!!
if we beat glossop north end (OO ARE YA!) in the 1/4's we'll be at wembley!!! (yes for some reason the semis of the vase are also at wembley)
so like any good "johnny come lately" im going to go down and commence my support as of the 28th
however.... in my defence... a few years back, i heard that chalfont were in the 1st round qualifiers for the fa cup, so i declared that i would go and watch every single fa cup game of the campaign. we lost that game 6-0 at home, to a crowd of 10-15 (mainly girlfriends and wineos who sleep in the ground), so in fact i really did go to every game of that competition.
