Hi Everybody
Hi Dr. Nick...
Figured I send a communal hello to the board. Heading to Amsterdam for my 3rd time in the beginning of August so I figured that it would be worth it to cruise the boards and see what's changed since I was last there and maybe work out a meet-up or two.
Glad to join the community!

I make a quick stop from the morning of Aug 3rd to the afternoon of the 4th and then I swing back the evening of Aug 10th to the late afternoon of the 13th.
Will be staying in the Leidseplein area.
First stop Barney's Breakfast Bar, simply because it will definitely be open early in the morning when I get in.

Thank you for the information. You have been posted on the August Whos In Town page. Have a great trip.Guy Incognito wrote:morning of Aug 3rd to the afternoon of the 4th and then I swing back the evening of Aug 10th to the late afternoon of the 13th.

Central is also open and closer to the station. Get a window seat and watch Amsterdam come awake.
Enjoy

Welcome to the board mate thats my part of the world, and i'm sure you'll find a few other scots around here. Can I ask where you will be staying ?Guy Incognito wrote:Will be stopping off in Scotland for a week before the Dam. Any recommendations?
Anyways if you want history and castles try edinburgh castle and stirling castle, both are in nice towns but there is alot more to do in edinburgh as it is much larger than stirling. I you want shopping and nightlife you can come here to glasgow theres also some history around here but not as old as edinburgh/stirling. The shopping here is 2nd only to london in the UK and the people are much more friendly than in london.

A little uncertain about the exact stops around scotland. I'm meeting up with a buddy and we're going do do a road trip around scotland, focusing on hill walking, seeing castles and drinking scotch. Granted, he won't get in until the morning of the 5th, so I'll be bumming around Edinburgh on my own for the evening. Will have to find out more specifics from him on the itinerary. Been a bit preoccupied with the exam to get my law license. That's the occasion for the trip to the Dam which will be well deserved!

Well, haven't taken the test yet. I sit for the exam on Tuesday and Wednesday. Only a short 12 hour exam total...I'll reaaaaallly need that trip. We're definitely heading north. I know we're stopping in Stirling and Loch Lamond and hitting Ben Nevis but still can't focus on much till I get all this law out of my head.
