Thursday 31st July (Payday)
Here we begin to see a slight shift in the way of things. I now have money and weed, which means great fun, but less chance of actually making any sensible, or indeed legible writings in the diary.
The last few days have been hard for me, so I started the day with some Poison. No, not a suicide bid, but some weed from Picasso's. 9e a gram. It didn't look overly strong , but that was what I was looking for today, as I was embarking on a day of pure weed, and didn't want to knock myself out at the first hurdle.
I bought the 12.50e bag. I got 1.3g and a free breakfast of 3 slices bread, 2 slices ham, 1 slice cheese, 2 butters and a box of chocolate sprinkles for bread. I quite like these sort of breakfasts and could easily get used to them... oh dear, I think that means I have
Picasso is another locals coffeeshop so you know what you are going to get, good weed at good prices. If your looking for great weed, a locals shop is not the place to be. there were upto 8 dutch people in this shop at any time while I was in there.
I had one poison spliff, then it was back to the hostel to meet up with Davide. Unfortunately he is off to meet his friend at Schipol, so I had another Poison spliff and then off to Greenhouse Centrum. After looking at the buds while I was in the queue, I was only interested in 2 strains, So when my turn came I asked to see the Amnesia Haze, and the Super Silver Haze.
Up close there was only one winner, so I had some SSH. The crystal development again is just fantastic, and the high was out of this god damn world. I was completely unable to do anything. I was the only one in the shop smoking, So didn't pay attention to smoking rules etc.
The high was killer with total loss of ability to concentrate, and I found myself just hazing out, it was just crazy.
So I rolled the second one with the other half gram and smoked that too.
Walked back to hostel (my hostel is on Warmoestraat, about 10 secs walk from Greenhouse), then tried to sort some washing. Too many people queueing so i polished off the Picasso.
Time to head out again. Stopped off at Rokerij, they had some fantastic Latin grooves going on in the background. I asked to look at the Californian Haze, and the budtender suggested NL5xHaze. The NL5xHaze was definitely the better off the 2, much better crystal formation and a lovely strong Citrus Smell.
After smoking the Haze I headed straight off to the next stop, Greenhouse seeds in Haarlemmerstraat. I had a look at 3 weeds here, AUH#2, Amnesia Haze and Strawberry Haze. Although it was the worst looking of the 3 I was suckered by the Strawberry sweetness, at 14e a gram it is obviously a tourist trap that I jumped right into

The walk had given me time to asses the buzz of the NL5xHaze. It had a nice high and flavour, but against some of the other buds it is just not strong enough.
The Strawberry Haze had a lovely flavour to it, a lovely mix of the citrus haze base and the strawberries, one of the tastiest weeds, probably justbehind Mako Haze in that one, and diesel, for me personally. The high was very good, but alas still does not match SSH.
All this flavour overload means I really want to find some good quality Mako haze.
Walked onto Coffeeshop Relax and bought a gram of White Widow for 8e. It does what White Widow does and does it well, but again is not anything special. Overall a locals kind of coffeeshop, but it doesn't sell any sativa's, not much variety, but good steady reliable bud nonetheless.
Stopped off at a couple of coffesops in the midlle here but didn't make notes as I didn't feel the fvibe for getting out my notebook in these places. Consequently I forgot what coffeshops they were and what I'd bought from them by the time I got round to making notes again....
Chilled in Dampkring (formely Pink Floyd). Listening to some very good music and smoking the Mako Haze were the only interests I had here, and I wasn't dissapointed by either. This is not the most crystals I have seen on Mako Haze. Davide's Mako last week was slightly more crystally, but a very good number and size regardless. Smells of pure lemons, absolute lemon heaven and the high, both so fruity, and zesty, a lovely weed. Very nice at 12e a gram. The buzz is not the same killer high you get from some of the other hazes, but it is wonderfully bright and punchy, it's a lovely high.
Stopped of at Stones Cafe Coffeeshop in Warmoestraat and bought .6g of Stones Amnesia Haze for 10e. Chucked it in one spliff and smoked away. This really was another high quality haze.
Please understand that at times during the day, I was feeling a little "insecure" about getting my notebook out in some places, while too wasted to be able to do it at others, so there are quite a few coffeeshops and buds I managed to miss as I moved in to the latter part of the day.
I stopped off at De Kroon and bought their Diesel. 2g for 20e. I really love this Diesel, and managed to make the 2g last a whole 3 spliffs.
This pure weed smoking sure gets expensive, but the flavour of the weed is just unbelievable.
Headed on over to the Soft Temple Coffeeshop and bought 2g of Brainstorm for 25e. This has a nice spicy intial smell, lovely hazy buzz keeping me going
Later on I went back to De Kroon for another 2g of Diesel, just because I love the taste so much. I also managed to visit Blues Brothers where I bought some Santa Maria, and something else in 10e bags. About 1.2/1.3g each.
I ended the night coming in as stoned as bollox, sat down in the smoking room to roll a spliff, looked at Guido, who was already in there, then just ssaid "i need to go to bed". Can you work out why?
This is crazy, I have so much weed that I have bought from Different places, and not labelled it
Grand total amount of weed bought today - 35g. Total amount smoked, around 30g. This is absolutely ridiculous. It is not possible to smoke that much
Err yes it is actually, I mean, Davide had already done 50g in one day and 40g in another that week, so why couldn't I manage to keep going after only 30g
