Hello

Post by Blackdiamond »

Hi. I am planning my trip to Amsterdam in September. Am staying at the Hotel Ibis Stopera. It is on valkenburgerstraat. Sorry to be a bit dim, as i have looked at the map, but could anyone tell me if it within walking distance to the many shops on tha map? I am not very good on distance.
Could anyone reccomend? I am from the uk. Thank you.

Pleased to meet you all!

Hey and welcome.

No worries you are pretty central, about 10 minute walk to Niuewmarkt and about 15-20 (max) to Dam Square. So i wouldn't bother with the trams or such, unless of course you just want to give them a go or fancy exploring the south of the city more.

hey there m8 welcome! Yeah as Valo said your pretty much central where your staying. And nearly every street seems to have a coffeeshop, read the recommended lists that people have put up on this site as some of the coffeeshops are best avoided.
