place for older guy to chill?

Hi all,
I'll be in Amsterdam in a couple of weeks (can't wait) and most places I have been are pretty loud and mainly younger, which is fine. Since I'm getting older (mid-50's) I'd like something a little more calm but still serving the best stuff. Any recommendations?
Thanks
Chris

Mellow Yellow is pretty chilled and laid back for us old hippies.

Very good herbage too. Peace.

Siberie and Katsu come to mind. Mellow Yellow sounds like a good recommendation, a nice chill crowd and no obnoxious music.

What dates will you be in Amsterdam? I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
de Kuil ( 420 Cafe ) seems to have a mature bunch of customers.
Enjoy

Hi,
Thanks for all the suggestions. Now I've got a list of new places to try!
I'll be in town from 25 August for a week. Where is the "Who's in Town" page? I'd like to see who else is there.
Thanks for a great forum.

Quiet? not when I've been in there, plus they've banned smoking in Central now.

Greenhouse Tolstraat is like hanging out in your living room.

Bloody hell, bad news as I used to love having a joint in there watching out of the front window!.

I'm only late twenties, but RUSLAND was the only place I went with consistantly older customers than me and music unlikely to offend by going all 'POP RnB' on your ass. Plus the guy working there seemed to treat the older customers a lot better than he treated the younger ones.
