Hello to all

Having read with great intrest the comments and postings from others I had to join in. I come from and live in Hull, North East England, and have been smoking green for about 12 years. To be honest it is a vital part of my life! Been to The Dam a couple of times and am going again in a week or two. Because I come from the UK I have always smoked my weed with tobacco in spliff form, this is my way, and to change this is going to be very hard for me. Has anyone tried any other herbal tobacco subsitute in spliff instead of cigs? Does anyone know if the coffeeshops are selling this tobacco subsitute?
I know a lot of Americans and apparently the world! will be laughing their tits off at me and saying "why not smoke it pure?" Well I think it's what you're used to that matters. I hate to change my routines in any fraction of life especially when it comes to getting high.
Anyway weed we get here in Hull varies wildly. Sometimes really amazing stuff will come by, but mostly just the bog standard glassplastic sprayed shit. That's why the Dam is like being able to visit heaven in this life. And that's why 'The Man' is squeezing the coffeeshop culture so hard.

Hey Hendrix - most of the coffeeshops i visited had a place inside where you could smoke a tobbaco mix jay. The ones that did'nt usually had free bowls of herbal mixer on the tables so you could just help yourself. Damkring springs too mind as having plenty of upstairs space to smoke your baccy-spliffs and some places were cool as long as you were discreet i.e keep your fag box off the tables and don't put your unused filter tips in the ashtrays.....

Thanks for your advice Bethlehem, I'm going to be in the Dam 19th Aug till 22nd Aug. My absolute fav shop is of course amnesia. Not only good ORGANIC weed but great drinks and cake. Allthough reading it's reviews it seems it has been refitted to look a bit like Barneys. Shame because really felt at home in the old amnesia. Hey ho maybe the staff are all the same and so's the atmosphere will have to wait and see. That's good news about the tobacco substitute i'll have something to put in my spliffs as well as the green. Got a hotel room with a balcony so we can smoke outside there. I know the hotel will throw us out if get caught but I can't see that happening if we're outside on a balcony. I'm sure the hotel won't mind the ganja being smoked on balcony but again it's my addiction to the government weed (tobacco) that makes me worry.

Everyone on here seems really cool I know there's a lot of heat being put on R P in amsterdam (MOM) but he is just a man, a human, and imagine if you woke up each morning and opened the post to find hundreds of people sending you mountains of cash...how would you play it?

I put an order in with this person recently and have recieved an on its way e-mail 5 days after posting order. Seems quite efficient to me but you can only go with your own personal experience.

No worries Hendrix. Yeah Amnesia is a cool place, i tried the super-bio weed there and it was magic. Really put me in the mood for the Rembrandt house. Was really staring into some of those paintings for hours, the museum curators were starting to fidget and cough to move me on!
As long as your on the Hotel balcony you should be cool. I'd go for an apartment if i were you, same price, more private and cool to smoke inside. Plus you get a front door so you don't feel so much like a tourist, a bit more part of the community, you know?
Have received an email from r p but still undeceided - seems a bit expensive, but it should be quality and better then the rank shit i've been getting lately. Let me know how you get on with that.
