my girlfriend and i Just booked our round the world tickets!

we're off for a year, starting next july.

uk --> india --> nepal --> thailand --> vitenam --> malaysia --> australia --> new zealand --> chile --> brazil --> uk

im stuck in the middle of two emotions, real excitment, and nerves about pulling myself away from so many things i love for a year.

ive got a trip to dam booked for november, which i will go on, but realistically, thats me done on the dam front for two years!!! :shock:

however, we have deliberatly made the centre point of the trip to be in nimbin in australia (a weed friendly town), in case we've endured a smoke free 6 months. the other thing is, im gonna miss a whole season whilst away, and i am gonna have to cut down heavily this year on games, in order ot save.

on the plus sides.... theres too many plus sides to list, its going to be amazing.

im kinda buzzing about the fact ive just done this. so i just wanted to share.

were off to mates in a minute to dirnk some bubbly, make cakes and celebrate big time :D

a friend of mine worked in india for 6 months, and he managed to smoke hash quite a bit, however buying it was a bit of a hassle as he would always be led about from house to house and invaribaly would have to buy some rubbish ornament from the dealer friend during the process.

although very cheap the process was long and drawn out.

im aware that weed is all over the route we're taking, but im not a risk taker, so unless someone has it on them for a straight forward transaction, im probably not gonna bother too much.

That sounds wicked I often wished I had done that when I was about 18. Maybe I will when retire in 40 years or so....

Good for you mate, thats an awsome journey.
I'm sure that you won't struggle to get high in these destinations you've stated.
Besides, the enjoyment of travelling the globe, taking in all the different cultures and meeting fellow humans from all walks of life should give you a hell of a buzz anyway.
Plus you have a trip to the Dam before then, thats just rubbing it in :lol:

Have fun.

sounds like a fun trip. India and Nepal shouldnt be to hard to find stuff in, but i would watch your ass in thialand, vietnam, and malaysia for i believe even possesion of pocket crumbs in these three areas can result in life imprisonment(look into what happened to that aussie girl who got pinched in Malaysia). Austrailia and New Zealand are pretty pot friendly as i hear. Chile and Brazil shouldn't be much trouble although i would be more worried about getting kidnapped here more than anything or wait that might be Columbia i'm thinking of

India & Nepal - go to the mountains, there's nothing like rubbing your own hasj in the early morning sun and then toking on a chillum. I agree with you about Thai, Viet and Malaysia - just be cool but you can still score. Nimbin - what a wonderful little town with a wonderful little celebration and the 'odd' coffee shop, well recomended. My brother lives there and I'm sure you've seen this http://www.nimbinmardigrass.com/, I was last there in '92/'93. Have fun :lol: I know you will :lol: Bom Shiva
