Bright Green

Post by Bethlehem »

Quick question folks. Somebody told me that as a general rule a bright green bud indicates that its a sativa, and a dark green is usually an indica. Is there any truth in this? I picked up some bright green bud (almost luminous) last night and it did seem to give me an energetic 'sing-along loudly to the car radio' sort of buzz.
your comments, as always, are greatly appreciated.

The BB Cheese I've had is a rather bright lime green, and that's an indica.

Yeah I dont think colour comes into what type of mj it is, like Geoff said Cheese is very bright green but is mainly indica.

well, i knew a guy that grew some stuff he got from india, it was definitly short with dark buds. im not saying all indica is short and dark, it just seems like stuff from places that grow indica (lebanon, india etc) is usually shorter and darker than stuff from places like mexico.

The Indica plant is shorter than the Sativa but the buds aren't a differant colour.

the purple trait in ANY plant is a genetic flaw that has been breed into to strain. u can read all about it in wiki!

As far as i know it has only ever been breed into indica strains.

ahhhhh the purple trait i love it how that started back a lllllloooong time ago dont rememeber wen it said but the french and the hindus use to trade it and the hindus figured a way out to dye the buds purple not how we do it by just no givin it enough of sumthing.but they would dye it purple or a bluish tint and sell it tripple or more than wat it was worth cuz back then purple was a very royal colour and people would pay alot of money wit purple in it.

i dunno about all that greenleaf, but you are rather convincing.

sometimes it has to do with certain strains, turning purple at the end of the flowering stage..
