Cindy 99 is called Cannalope now in most places.
Really? Wow. I've seen Cannalope on the menus before but if I'd known it was C99, you'd be dragging me out the door kicking and screaming (... or at least twitching and mewling a little) - never tried C99 in the 'Dam before because I thought it simply wasn't available, but I do enjoy both the Cindy (Princess) and Apollo lines...

Yeah, I had heard that rumor before and even posted something to that effect. Hmm...kinda makes sense with that lightly fruity Cindy taste. Well there you go then.

^ Damn, I didn't know that. Friend grew some Cinderella years ago, it was lovely.

Never seen it in the 'dam - I got the impression Holland was boycotting it.

I must say I kept going back for the cheese when I was out there - it seemed to be the only variety whose flavour cut through the nasty taste of unflushed bud.........

I've grown Greenhouses feminised Cheese, didn't have too much trouble as long as the ph was closer to 6, the salt can build up as well.

These have caught my eye: http://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?p ... Wreck%20X5

I've also heard that Homegrown Fantaseeds Cheese is closer to UK Cheese than Big Buddas/Greenhouse.

^ Mmm. they sound good.

I tried the Trainwreck - It was quite a pokey number with v high ceiling level. Lacking in flavour though - but the cheese should sort that issue out!

i have always been told that a good few yeas ago now a uk grower took a clone of uk cheese to HGF, which was when it first came on the scene, and did well at the cannabis corrupt cup. it then disappeared, which i heard a few months ago was cos the mum or dad plant died. so whereas most coffeeshops sell big b's or big b's blue, and of course arjans version which he got from big b. the HGF version could be more real.

i hope to try some in a month or so.

The story you have is pretty accurate, mtb. HGF was the first to get the Cheese. The clone was put in a toilet paper tube and carried to HGF in a guy's shirt pocket. It was the mom that died. From what I have heard most of the Cheese that is around now has been back-crossed with Afgani. I need to get to HGF, one last time, before they close for good next year. Peace n Pot.

I don't pretend to know the story, but I must add that any mother can be cloned and as those clones mature they can become mothers with the exact same genetics as the original right? So if the mum died and she had been cloned dozens or hundreds of times, does it not stand to reason that there are plenty of UK Cheese original genetics out there? We grow out a very nice NYCDXCheese cross that gets nothing but rave reviews from everyone that tries it. Most say it is nicer then the UK Cheese by itself. The BBC is available at my local shop and smoked by itself it is a standout over the rest of the weed on the menu. But after smoking a joint of cheisel, it becomes average very quickly.
