If you are going to be there on the 13th try this- "The Hold Steady"; voted Best band in America by several leading music and entertainment magazines here in the States(Blender,Rolling Stone, Maxim),is coming to Amsterdam on October 13th to play at The Melkweg. Do yourself a favor and go see this band. You will not be disappointed, they ROCK!Download a couple of their songs and you will see what I mean. Now I just have to hopefully arrange myself a trip there in time to attend. You lucky people!

Craig Finn, the singer of the Hold Steady, would be delighted to hear you say that - they're his favourite band. And they come from the same town - Hold Steady are based out of Brooklyn NY now, but Craig and Tad (guitarist) are both from Minneapolis originally.

I'm coming over for the gig, so see you there! Look out for a fat fker with a blue t-shirt with "Unified Scene" on the front and 29 on the back.

Wednesday the 22 of october I am going to a club named "Paradiso" where Armin Van Buuren is playing among other Dj's and friday the 23 of october I am going to a club named "Escape" where Paul Van Dyke is playing among other Dj's. Saturday will probably just be for chilling out and smoking while sightseeing the city.
Anybody been to these clubs?

Paradiso is a great venue. Don't know about clubbin' there, only saw a rock and roll band play there. Very nice in an old church, stained glass in the background. Three levels. Have fun.
