Sativa Strains
Which strains are similar to Columbian Gold these day's? Miss the 70's-80's of the strain.
According to several stories in High Times, Love Potion No. 1 by Reeferman Seeds has a sizable portion of its genetics from the Colombian land race. From the same stories, people said that it reminded them of the Colombian Gold of the 70s.
I tried it specifically for this reason on one of my trips to Amsterdam. Unfortunately I couldn't recommend the batch I got, which probably wasn't grown that well. Also, I haven't heard that Reeferman has a close relationship with any of the coffeshops in Amsterdam, as some of the other seed banks do. (In '05, after winning the Cannabis Cup Reeferman was a rising star and had a close relationship with Barney's, but I haven't heard much about him since.)
I would buy the seeds and grow it yourself. And please let us know if it indeed is anything like the Colombian Gold of the 70s.
