Hello great site! I will be traveling to alkmaar next year all being well and i wanted to know about the coffeeshops in alkmaar..whats hot and whats not etc. Please post your experiences..Thank you.

We spent a 3 day weekend in Alkmaar in mid June ...We found the CS scene ,and the city itself very much to our to our liking.
The reviews in the Directory here are pretty right on -based on our pre July08 experiences.
We liked Anytime and Zero Zero best of the 5 shops we visited. They're located in the same block of Laat . Anytime was ready for July with a glass partitioned Room .,as well as a Vapo only room...We liked the Sneek strain very well ,and came back for more another day... it synergized well with High Times 6. 50/gram Silver Haze -which is a hardcore reggae shop out by the station-. Zero Zero offered a Supremely tasty Buddhas Sister in 5E bags...De Brug was also a nice stop .Its just down the main gracht from the Beatles Museum,which is a must stop if you like the fabs ...CS Steppin Out was always packed when we went by ,we went in once and enjoyed the scene ,but only bought a Hash Joint as we were working on the other strains ...its near the Molen/Parkland ... Somewhere in the trip reports is maybe a more detailed account ...anyway ...to our Yank ,once a year in the NL ,eyes...Alkmaar was a great stop....Would go back ,and hope you enjoy your visit Binman
