I feel like crying......

Post by Drenbt »

With JOY!!

I was meant to be travelling to Amsterdam this week on wednesday with my fiancee for my birthday for a few days but due to some misfortune and misinformation have had to postpone. We were due to be staying for 4 nights at the Hotel Travel Amsterdam for about 500e - which to be fair was pretty much all I could find available at last minute close to Dam central.Mixed reviews showed it was quite small, not too clean and only 1 bathrom per floor.

Now we've rescheduled for Friday 19th September, and from the recommendation of several people on here ( in particular echc1- cheers mate) I have now managed to book us a room at the Cornerhouse hotel. Not only does it have great reviews with several 10/10. Our room has ensuite bathroom, we will be staying for 5 nights and for the price of *drumroll* ......... 300euros! Can you believe it!

So I may be missing out on waking up in Dam on my b'day to have a real memorable one- but hey I'm getting an extra night somewhere decent for 200 euros less! They say everything happens for a reason.....

Yeh I did think of that... The guy at hotel travel said he would cancel for me at no charge but I'll be keeping an eye on my credit card statement just in case they try to pull a fast one!
