Two weeks to go

Post by OneForTheRoad »

Well it's just under two weeks till I'm back in Amsterdam for 5 days of musems, cheese and some fine smoke. Can't wait the last two weeks before I go are always the worst.

I'm staying in one of Apartment Pauls apartments which is just around the corner from Barneys, Floyd's and Siberie.

The good times will roll...

How long in advance did you book to get one of those apartments?

I've been checking for what seems like forever and the only ones that are available are like miles away from the centre of amsterdam which for me is no good.

Apartments are getting hard to book nowdays i have been trying for ages to get a central one for my upcoming trip. Plenty away from the central areas and at the moment its looking like The Pijp area is best bet and Tram it in to Town.

It would have been the around the begining of August. Sometimes it better to get out of the centre...

I'll add the one thing that Amsterdam does have is a fantasic public transport system, ok there is alot more but you get my point.

So for me staying a little bit out of the centre is more fun, lots more locals to chat to and a fantasic public transport system that is value for money, nothing like that in rip off Britain...

What dates will you be in Amsterdam? I'll post you on the Whos In Town page. You may want to check out the Coffeeshop Menus page for a little pre trip e shopping.
