Do you actually have the monies needed to even lease a coffeeshop let alone buy 1?. Thats assuming anyone even wants to guess, let alone knows the sort of price involved in this line of business!.

Whats going through my head is would even a Dutch bank let alone a more international bank touch this line of business if you would need some kind of loan?.

i agree with you i doubt a bank would touch it with a bargepole.
as to the state of my money situ, it can be sorted,if the opportunity arises is all i will say on that matter. But the bank i agree with you.
Early days yet though.

Hello just thought i would add to this , i have been to amsterdam a lot and looked into this myself , wouldnt we all love to do it. The information i have been given is this . I am not saying it is 100% correct but would seem to stack up.
First up , you can buy a coffeeshop but as mentioned elsewhere you need to do it with your own cash bank wont lend as it is essentially a ilegal venture. you wont get a license but the way round this i have been told is . You buy the business and retain the license owner as a director or employee of the business you will have to pay them to do this usually a nominal fee, i was quoted 5 TO 10 K per year and that way the license essentially remains with the shop, not ideal but you could draw up contracts negating your risk as much as possible.
You will also need to be completey free from any previous misdemeanours and be able to whistle the star wars theme out of your arse. I made the last one up obviously its not star wars its the dambusters theme
So as far i know it can be done but not straight forward good luck

there would need to be an EU citizen as the front man i would think, someone like you, bec they wouldnt have to go through all the procedures and hoops to buy a business than an american would, is that right?

its not the thrill of owning the shop...its the knowledge of getting good clean smoke and not being gouged on the price would be fine for me....just make the majority ofn the profits go back into the business, making it even better for all......i'm emptying my coin sock right now
