but yes deffo :D
yeah I was thinking that with the small cans u have to push the can down, and if anything goes wrong u stop pressing and stop the flow. I think I'd want a trusted mate on the regulator js in case

Ash333 wrote:I was thinking about how it worked, and the gas cans seem an uneconomical way of doing this stuff. they are 250 mls cans for about £1.30. I was thinking of getting a bottle of Calor Butane https://secure.calor.co.uk/ordercalorcy ... ype=butane

and a regulator (butane ones at the bottom) http://www.calortoolbox.co.uk/acatalog/ ... lator.html

I cant see any reason why not, and its better for the enviroment as i'm not chucking out 6 empty butane cans every time i make some.
Cooking gas is not clean enough. In fact many of the cheap brands of lighter refill cans you buy are crap for BHO. A good test is to take a mirror and spray a good portion on the mirror. If there is a white residue then it is crap. If there is no or very little residue then it is the one to use. You really will notice a difference by using a good quality butane. Years ago there was a list somewhere of the good brands.

THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROCESS AND SHOULD NOT BE ATTEMPTED WITHOUT A LOT OF HOMEWORK FIRST. This gas is heavier then air and can pool and settle in places you might not think. Be very very cautious. I have seen a kitchen blown up recently.

^^m8 i am down the bottom of the garden when i do it^^
myself i dont use lighter butane. All the kids sniff it in my area so the shops only sell diddy ones.
Its only dangerous if you dont know what your doing. I have been doing it for a fair few years now and never had any probs. And if you process it correctly you will be left with a clean product.
Its all fun

thought i'd upload a few photos of my extractor, and how it was built.. I was going to do it yesterday night but it all seemed like far too much effort:

This first pic is the whole extractor:

The second one shows the bottom of the pipe. As you can see I have covered the opening with 3 layers of "Fly Mesh" from the builders merchant (£2.75 for a 12"x18" piece). I used 3 layers as it has fairly broad holes, but I'm sure a single layer of a finer mesh would have the same effect. I secured the mesh using a Jubilee clip from the builders merchants (50p).

Pic 3 is a another view of pic 2:

My 4th+5th pictures show how I made the top of the pipe. I struggled for a while to find something that would give an airtight seal, as I'd originally planned on using a cork, and then couldn't find one. So I used a rubber wine bottle stopper www.bbr.com/GB/db/product/92063
This conveniently had a whole in the top. I then struggled to find something to fit into this that wouldnt push through he rubber. Eventually I settled on part of an old pipe, which seemed to do the job perfectly http://www.everyonedoesit.co.uk/online_ ... goryID=278

Other than that I just wrapped a ski sock around the pipe and taped it in place, as the pipe gets COLD from the butane.

Pretty simple really.

Please feel free to use my design or modify it if you see fit, but I take no liability whatsoever for your safety. BE CAREFUL

Its not a very good realy a big waste of bud. Better off using trim and smoking them fat nugs he was dropping in. The end product is just as good and you still got your quality nugs to smoke.
I am hopping to get a camera sorted so i can show how easy it is to extraxt oil and Ice has from the Leaf trim and waste that is normally left over after a crop. I think it will impress but we will see.
Still a good vid to watch though

Myself i smear onto the inside of a rizla and roll a spliff with the rizla. Bit of a nightmare sometimes but not figured out any other way as yet.
Tried a bong did not find it as effective. :)

me too, smear on inside of a cut down rizla, and smoked with tobaco (and sometimes weed)

ive only got hold of this stuff once, but it lasted me months. mainly because, i actually wasnt too much of a fan.

not a nice taste, and the stone was too 'punchy'. it hit so quick its a bit like getting an head rush from solvents, going a bit dizzy, more nausiating than enjoyable.

some one will prbably tell me this stuff wasnt drained peoperly or something... but it was from a reliable source, and im sure it was down to personal taste.

^ I guess the hit is quite dependent on the type of weed it's been made from.

I made possibly the smallest one ever last night. For reference, whilst using a biro can work, the plastic doesn't really like getting cold (tis fairly cracked now) and the green material must be very uniformly prepared to avoid gas rushing through the path of least resistance.

I smoked mine using a hot knife and just dropping little bits on the knife, I find it a bit nasty to smoke after a while, I'll probably invest in some bubble bags next.

Yeh m8 get some sacs. Get your ice hash then do yourself a bit of honey oil. Roll a ball of the Ice hash in the Honey oil and leave for a couple of weeks.
Hot knife it you will love it (I have hot tongues the old fashion ones)
Enjoy
