Day 5:
After getting up a bit earlier today, and noting down a few coffeeshops and street names we head to Central Station and buy a 2nd class, return ticket to Haarlem each, costing less than €8. The train only takes about 20mins and then we set out from Haarlem train station.
The first thing we realised about Haarlem, on the walk to Willie Wortal’s Indica, was how much calmer and quieter Haarlem is than Amsterdam. Crossing roads was just about as easy as crossing roads while stoned at home, a very welcome change for everyone. We made it to WW surprisingly easily and
I bought 1g Zilver Haze €11
B- 1g Zero Zero €10
D- 1g Willie’s Choice €8.50
E- 1g Willie’s Choice €8.50
I’ve wanted to visit Haarlem since I first came to Amsterdam, but for some unapparent reason, ive never made time in a previous trip to take this short journey. Put plainly, I wish I had. Apart from it being a more slow-paced kinda place, it’s also noticeably cheaper than Amsterdam. Drinks in coffeeshops I found to be no higher than €1.50 instead of the usual €2-€2.50 ive found in Amsterdam, the weed/hash seems a bit cheaper too.
A tried to buy space cake but was told they were out of them, leaving him pleased he had bought a few of the Green place cakes the night before and had eaten 1 (or maybe 2) before we left the apartment. D and E didn’t really like their Willie’s Choice, not rating its strength or taste very highly, with D going as far to say it was her least favourite purchase of the trip. However, B enjoyed his zero zero, which reminds me of something. Everyone was together last night and B said that he was going to sign up and post some more detailed reviews of his purchases and I think C might be doing a bit too, so watch out for them. Anyway, onto my Zilver Haze. I was tempted by the Amnesia haze at the top of the menu (€13/g) but went for the Zilver haze as id just purchased Amnesia haze at the Green Place the night before and still had a bit left. What a great decision that turned out to be. I got a VERY crystally, fat bud. Broke open beautifully exposing loads more crystals. High was very strong and very buzzy, absolutely perfect for a daytime smoke that’s mentally intense and lasts for ages. Taste and smell were classic silver haze. This was my favourite sativa of the whole trip and a perfect introduction to Haarlem.
After having a good few drinks sat in the window seats, a few games of pool and many joints having been passed around, we headed out, following the canals, down to Willie Wortals Sensimilla, just off the Houtplein. We hadn’t gone by WW Sativa, nearest the station, as I thought I remembered reading that it was closed for a while before I came. After getting to WW Sensemilla and finding that it was closed I wondered whether I had read that this coffeeshop would be closed (I still don’t know, but WW Sensemilla seemed like it would be closed for a while). So we carried on walking, this time to the address I had for Birdy.
When we finally got there, there was disappointment from everyone as we didn’t find coffeeshop Birdy at this address but some other coffeeshop I hadn’t heard of (and cant remember the name of). After looking around the area for Birdy, which we all really wanted to visit, we decided to walk back towards the station to the last coffeeshop on my list, Theehuis. Finally we were rewarded with the correct and open coffeeshop at the address i had. After being welcomed by the budtender and told it was a “Green day” today which meant with every purchase you could get 10% extra free or 10% off the price of your purchase, we all went for the extra 10% in weight and this is what we got;
I bought 1.1g Buddah’s Sister €10.50
B- 1.1g Lavender Haze €13
C- 1.43g Big Bang Collection €10
The guy in there was friendly and showed us all weed we wanted to see, most of the time without us even asking. To be fair though, I don’t know if this was only because we were the only people there or whether it’s the same when they’re busy as well. I’d suspect the latter though. The drink menu here was exceptionally cheap as well, with a vast range of teas all at €1 each. We had to smoke standing just outside the coffeeshop because we were mixing with tobacco but it was no problem as this place is very small and we were the only people there, so there was no hassle at all in popping in and out for a quick smoke. Unfortunately though, I was less than impressed with the Buddah’s Sister. It looked quite nice, small but tight and dense buds. It was just that it wasn’t very strong at all and had no particularly memorable taste or smell. With it being €10.50/g normally, coupled with my experience of a very high quality weed for only 50 cents more at the last coffeeshop, I was disappointed and looking back on the trip, this was my least favourite purchase. C was not impressed with the strength of his Big Bang Collection either, naming that as one of the weakest of the trip. Unfortunately, Theehuis doesn’t do any space products so A was rather sober by now and would be until we were back in Amsterdam. We stayed for a while, then pre-rolled a couple of spliffs each and headed to the small Kenaupark, next to Haarlem station. We sat by the canal for a while, enjoying the best weather of the trip so far, until the joints were smoked and then got the train back to Amsterdam. As we came out of Central station, now back in Amsterdam, we decided to get a 48hr tram pass each, to last for the final part of the holiday. This was mainly because we knew we were heading down to Vondelpark and coffeeshops in that area, the day after. Then we headed back to the apartment to eat and to decide where we were going that night. We decided to leave the trams until tomorrow and just stay near Central Station that night, going to the Rokerij II first.
I bought 1g Big Boudah Cheese €12
A- 2 Space Muffins (again strength low, taste good)
B- 1g NL5X Haze €13
C- 1g Nepal Crème €8.50
D- 1g Rokerij Sour Diesel €10
I’ve not spent much time in this Rokerij on previous trips, it’s smaller than the one off the Leidesplein but when I have been in I’ve had no problem getting a seat. The menu is the same though and the vibe is very similar so I really like this place. A few people seemed to really prefer here as the seating is a bit more comfortable. B went for the NL5X Haze for the 2nd time, deciding, I think, that this was his favourite sativa (dominant) strain of the whole trip. I’m sure when he does post, he’ll describe this one in a bit of depth. D’s Sour diesel I tried a bit of and found that it was that nicest tasting diesel I’ve ever tried, real strong sweet flavour. Can’t say I had enough to judge the effects but D was very pleased with this weed overall. The Big Boudah Cheese I bought was much hairier than the other cheese strains ive seen. Fluffy looking, but dense, small orange covered nugs. The taste is dry and bland on the inhale but I could taste the “cheese” flavour after the exhale, leaving it lingering in my mouth. This weed kinda leaves you mentally stoned but too not physically stoned, so you can still do the stuff you don’t have to put much thought into, with relative ease, while still feeling totally baked. After here we head to the Dampkring II for the last stop of the night.
I bought 1g Amnesia Haze €11
B- 1g Cheese €11
E- 1g SSH €10.50
I was stuck when choosing, between the SSH and AH (which D and B had previously bought), so I asked to look at both of them. Both tubs were full of big juicy buds but it was the smell of the Amnesia haze that won me over. I got one big 1g bud, it was tight and crystally and smelled citrus-y when I finally managed to bring myself to break a bit off and grind it up. The taste is so sweet and fruity, simply my favourite tasting haze around. The high is strong and uplifting. This was even better than the Green Place’s AH in my opinion, and very close to beating the Zilver Haze, from earlier that day, for my favourite sativa of the trip. E chose the SSH after seeing my dilemma and really rated this as one of his top smokes. B’s Cheese also went down well, with it having a particularly “wotsit” crisp taste. Leaving the Dampkring II that night, I found my faith restored in the quality of their weed and put that Mexican Haze deal down to a one time thing.
That’s the end of day 5 and again I’ll try and get day 6 (the last full day) up shortly.
Btw ive just edited all my posts so they are a bit easier to read and reference before a trip, if anyone wishes too. Hope it helps.

really enjoyed the read!! great reporting, good to see you and your friends all had a good time.
about the amnesia haze thing.. i too have always had great luck with this strain. on my very first trip it was my absolute favorite.. and on my following trips i was never disapointed either.
at the same time i used good judgement when purchasing the AH... if i saw it on a menu and it clearly didnt live up to my standars so to speak... i would not purchase it...
look forward to your next day of the trip.

Day 6:
The last full day of the trip and we got amazing weather for the trip to Vondelpark, just as we had planned. We decide to head to Grey Area first as we hadn’t yet been on this trip and there was a few strains we wanted to pick up. Since my first trip (when they had none left), I’ve been desperate to get my lungs on the end of some Martian Mean Green. On my second and third trips and seem to remember visiting Grey Area and it was shut. So I was really hoping it would be on the menu when I got here this time round. Unfortunately it wasn’t. Instead;
I bought 1g Vortex €11.50
And 1g LA Con €13
B- 1g Grey Crystals €18
And 1g OG Kush €12.50
C- 1g Grey Crystals €18
D- 1g Silver Bubble €13
E- 1g Grey Crystals €18
And 1g Vortex €11.50
I was talking to one of the guys there (I’m not sure which) about the MMG and he told me that it would probably back on the menu in about two months. He asked me when I thought id be back and I told him that it probably wouldn’t be for a while as I was pretty broke after coming here 4 times in 14 months. He then told me that they are probably gonna keep it as a regular on the menu so I should eventually get to try it. Moderate consolation, but the weed we got more than made up for it. And we got quite a bit, so here it goes.
First, the Vortex. I was really excited to try this after the reception it had received on these forums. The bud was very crystal covered and smelt really weird. Don’t have the words (or the precise memory) to describe it well but I can tell you that it definitely smelt distinct from all my other purchases of the trip. This weed you can really feel expand in your chest when you take a big toke. I normally don’t have a problem talking while holding smoke but with this, on one occasion, a large inhale combined with trying to talk, made me choke and nearly cough up a lung, reminiscent of the early days of smoking and even the first trip to the Dam. Pretty damn strong as well, maybe not as strong as the coughing suggested, but definitely worth the €11.50/g (and is one of the cheaper strains on the GA menu).
The LA Con was in tight, dense buds that grind up beautifully. A very smooth smoke that tastes refreshing and almost spearminty on the exhale. I thought this LA Con was even stronger than that from the Green Place! I felt completely wasted as it made me less and less willing to move, even if it were to just lean forward from my already seated position.
The OG Kush that B bought looked awesome and again smelt weird. I remember it tasting quite like the Hash Plant from the Dampkring, with that resinous, hash/weed kinda flavour. A different, but definitely good flavour for the taste buds. Can’t say much about the strength though as I didn’t smoke too much of it.
The Grey Crystal went down well with everyone. I had quite a bit of this on my first trip to the Dam and enjoyed it a lot. I was now having to watch my spending quite carefully by now and knowing that it was €15/g back then and its now €18 (also I knew other ppl were buying it anyway and I was more interested in trying new stuff) I decided not to buy any. However, I do recommend it, even if you just get a gram and top a few joints with it, it gives them a bit of a kick in the taste and strength categories and they also last quite a while if you do this. D’s Silver Bubble was also strong as I recall her saying, making the trip to Grey Area VERY worthwhile.
After there we make the short walk back to Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and jump on a tram down to Mellow Yellow.
I bought 4g Blueberry €25
B- 4g Blueberry €25
And not long after sitting down and seeing our deals and hearing the price,
C- 4g Blueberry €25
I’ve been here on my last two trips and really enjoyed the atmosphere, music, staff and weed. Oh and the downstairs pool table, although we didn’t go down there this time so I’m not sure it’s still there. We got our drinks and sat upstairs. We weren’t able to smoke when mixing tobacco anywhere in here so we just pre-rolled a lot of joints to head to Vondelpark. While the others were finishing rolling, me and D went outside to smoke a joint of that Blueberry, sat on the little seats. This is the best value buy I have ever found in Amsterdam. I would pay €9-€10/g for this stuff, but on this deal it works out at €6.25/g! Not much to look at and I’ve only thought this tasted like blueberry once, but it’s the very comfortable, fairly strong, stoned feeling and the money left in my pocket that compels me to make sure I pick this up each time I come now. I’ve also had the SSH here in the past and found it amazing, it’s also a very good price, €10/g I think.
I’ve got to go out now but hope to finish day 6 later tonight. Sorry for cutting it in half, but my strongest weed and A’s strongest cake of the trip are still to come!

Sorry again for the length of time it’s taking me to update this thing, I've been working too much. I've only got the trip to Katsu done here but hopefully will have day 6 finally finished tomorrow night.
Day 6 cont.
After Mellow Yellow, we head to Vondelpark, picking up sandwiches on the way. We all stayed for a there for a while smoking, eating and just enjoying the hot sunny day sat by the water. After a while, we start to make plans for the rest of the afternoon and evening and figure out what sorta time we are going to head for our, now traditional, Hard Rock Café burger. Me, A and B decided to make the walk to Katsu, while C,D and E, knowing that we weren’t exactly sure where it was, decided to stay at Vondelpark and we arranged to meet back there at about 6.30pm (in nearly 2 hours time), to head for the Hard Rock.
So, although I enjoyed the walk to Katsu being around a part of Amsterdam I hadn’t seen before, we had no map for the area and got totally lost. We asked in a few places for directions, but it got us nowhere. We were walking around the Sarphatipark area for over an hour in the still very warm sun and were now just tired and feeling way too sober. I eventually decided to find the nearest place with internet access, which happened to be a coffeeshop somewhere down Van Woustraat near Rustenburgerstraat, I can’t remember its name though. I went in alone and found it empty. They had a weird, kinda uninviting system going on. As you came in, you paid for you internet access at the counter in front of you, but you could only access the main coffeeshop (tables and computers etc) after being handed a card to swipe, to get through some security door. Anyway, I sorted out some directions on google maps and it then didn’t take too long to find it. By the time we got there though it was already 6.30pm so we gave the others a text saying we would be late. We were definitely gonna stay here for at least a short while after the immense relief we had just felt when finally arriving here.
I bought 2g Black Widow €20
A- Space banana loaf (details to follow)
B- 1g Lavender €10
And 2.35g Moroccan Ice hash €20
I’d been intrigued by the talk about this Black Widow on the forums before I left, with Cheese and Boner saying it is just White Widow renamed and the reports of the experiences of it being very good. I've always been slightly disappointed with WW in the past, finding it overpriced for a distinctly average strain, so the glowing reports of the Black Widow interested me. Of the two grams I got, about 1.5 grams of it made up one huge bud. It was so crystally, after touching it my fingers were coated in crystals so I dusted them off into the fat joint of this I was rolling. The bud was really tight and smelled sweet when broken up. The taste was sharp but pleasant and the effects……WOW! I felt so stoned and so happy, not like giggly happy but more than just contented. It made my head feel heavy and I got vision delays when turning my head at normal speeds to look at things. It felt like a kinda trippy-stoned effect. If this is just White widow then it’s been bred for the best phenotypic variations combination I’ve ever come across by far. The looks, taste and effect were so much better and at 2 grams for €20 this is amazing value. The Black Widow was my favourite weed of the trip overall.
The Lavender B picked up I remember smelt and tasted very true to its name and the Moroccan Ice Hash looked amazing, so shiny and sparkly. It also was very strong and again, very reasonably priced. (Again I’m hoping B will add more on these if/when he posts on here, I’m going to ring him about that tomorrow and find out.) By the time we had realised how good the weed was, A had just started his banana loaf. He absolutely hated the taste, apparently due to the taste of cannabis and banana not going well together at all, and was considering not eating the rest of it. I encouraged him to finish, considering how amazingly strong my weed was I was hoping it would be likewise on the edibles front. I was proven to be correct. A reported this as the strongest space cake he’s ever had. He was completely out of it for ages and loving every minute of it with a big, daft grin on his face. Katsu itself was awesome, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and mellow. We fell in love with this place in a very short space of time and had to leave to meet the others as we were all starving by now, craving giant burgers.
