oct 6-8 and a lot of questions

Okay me and 6 friends are planning our 3 trip to amsterdam this year.
I personally have been to the dam 6 times before i know the city but there are still alot of questions i havent found a answer to yet so i hope you guys can help me with it and can judge my "to smoke list"

Okay here we go my first questions deals with the different kids of cannabis I always wonderd what the true definition of cheese, skunk, haze and buddah is?
Like i know Diesel gives you a high head high but i never really knew how to describe the other kinds.

My next question is what kind of fine can you get for smoking weed in public and did anyone of you ever get one ? does that happen at all?

Two of my friends are passionete bong smoker but they have never been happy with the bongs they got in any coffeshop so which shop would you say has the most effective bongs?

Another guy of our group always wanted to smoke Ivory but i have never seen it on any menu does anyone know where you can get it and when is it a good smoke?

At our favorite shop the new Dampkring they have Laughing Buddah for 6,50 but at the Rokerij they sell it for 11 is it worth the money to buy it at the Rokerji and how does a price range like that originate?

How much weed do the shops put in there prerolled joint or does it variate from shop to shop?

Hi and welcome

Your first question
is a bit of a strange1 to me

but i define most of these by ther unique smells and taste so i the best way is to learn hands on. Six people get some Cheese,a Haze, your fav Buddah (I dont like Laughing buddah very over rated), Some skunk (Super skunk at KATSU is good) and compare beleive me after you will know the difference.

Your second question
Never had a fine for smoking in public neither have any of my friends in the 30+ trips i have made.

Your third question
Css normally have a good selection of bongs so its just a matter of selecting the one similar to what they use at home (or buy one between them and throw it at the end of your holiday). Or you could get with the times and use a vapourizer.

Your fourth question
Ivory i have never tried but some1 on here might help you out with that one.

Your fifth question
I Dont buy pre rolled anything and never will! I want to see whats in my spliff and i cant imagine they put half of what i do in mine.

Now shops i would add to that list would be:

Weed i would add is:
Haze heaven at Katsu
Super skunk at katsu
SSH at Mellow Yellow (My fav SSH in the Dam)
Orange Haze at Mellow Yellow (If they have it my fav Haze)
Pot of Gold at Mellow Yellow (suprisingly very good)
Blue cheese at barneys Lounge (Best cheese i have had in the Dam)

If you go to Katsu it is not too far to Greenhouse Tolstraat which is alot less busy than the others.

I was gonna make some suggestions, but Kermit seems to have wrapped it up. Not sure about Diesel being in your head. I'm assuming you're talking about NY Diesel. I've felt Sour Diesel in my body and head.

Can honestly say the only thing about diesel i like is the taste i dont rate the high really.

Tony - well Sativa's give you a head high, Indica gives a body stone, but you can also buy hybrids which will give a high & a stoning effect, one effect can be dominant too. Apart from that it's just down to taste & smell & if it's been cured properly.

kill Grey Area and Barneys from your list and add Mellow Yellow and the Noon. GA and Barneys have good quality weed, but its just too expensive. mellow yellow and noon have both good Indicas and good Sativas, the super silver haze is the best you can get in Amsterdam and the Orange Haze is the tastiest you can get.

The bong-thing seems to be a german attitude....the friends we went with in august told me "the dutch dont have good bongs"......if you`re friends only want to smoke bong, then I would advise them to go to the 3 of the Dampkrings, and always buy 5g of the Jack Herer at 7€....everything else is a waste in the bong.

Leave out strains like Skunk/white widow etc.....those strains are available in the shops near the german border as well. go for the hazes and the heavy indicas.

So, I am giving you the same advice like I always do: go first to the Dampkring and Mellow Yellow or Noon, buy as much as you can and THEN you can start exploring the city and its coffeeshops with the insurance of having good weed.

Laughing Buddah is not worth the money, bought it at different good shops and it always seemed to me like a usual strain, no special taste or effect.

Cheese is a strain from the UK, which was crossed with different holland-strains and is now sold in many coffeeshops....it usually is a heavy indica, with an exotic taste. the one from Mellow Yellow has a good quality......

Yeah I can vouch for MY's Cheeze, quite good as was Katsu's. Only difference is one was spelled with a "z". The budtender at Rokerij pulled out some Laughing Buddha for me last trip, and the smell just didn't do much for me, almost like cut grass.

Currently, the SSH and Blueberry from Noon and MY is SHIT! They have some really bad batches in so I would avoid these if I were you. I did. I heard yesterday that there is a new batch of Cheese coming in today and it is suppose to be out-fuckin-standing. If you're interested, I will post my findings on the new batch of Cheese from MY. Mate completly ignore what sh@dy said and anybody else infact in this forum you have to explore it for yourself.

Barneys and Grey Area are two of my favourite shops so it just shows different strokes different folks.

It also seriously pisses me off when folks go on about the green being to expensive YOUR ON HOLIDAY stop being such a tight arse.

If you want the best weed hit dampkring, grey area, barneys and mellow yellow.

If you want value for money don't go and save up for next year!

^^ all the info on this site is provided by the members who have experience. If you dont want advice then dont come to the forum. Simple as that. You must know best coz you love the tourist traps. Its way to expensive and if you went when it was Guilders or when the Euro came in you would Know. If you go many times a year like most members do its best to know the Cheaper places to buy the same gear from.
