Which Cs??????????

Post by Kermit »

The question is simple:

Do you prefer to visit the Centrum CSs (More popular Names)

Or do you prefer to explore the outskirts CSs (In search of a Gem)

:D

Myself i have visited nearly all the centrum area shops over the years but i just dont enjoy it as much as searching for that hidden Gem. Yes sometimes you get bad weed (Had more from Centrum shops) but 9/10 its quality. You also get to mingle with the locals which is always fun

I paid my dues in the Centrum on my first trip (9 nites). There are plenty of excellent shops in a small area, but I prefer the outskirts. I like MY quite a bit, is that in the Centrum. I've probably spent more time in Rokerij I than any other shop, when they served beer. After visiting Club Media and Katsu, I'll be spending more time in those shops and hopefully some I haven't visited yet either. I'll still hit the Centrum though, just not as much.

Yeh there is quite a few good CSs down the Albert Cyupstraat area. Its the old south (G i think) in the directory above. Have a look.

that´s good to hear, i´m going to stay near the albert cyup market during my trip in october! on the map it looks like katsu is just 5 min walk away :D

on my last trip i stayed near the centrum, so i haven´t really seen much of this area.

can you mabey name me some other "have-to-visit" coffeeshops in this area? katsu and my are definatly on my list! i´ve already looked up this area in the directory, but i don´t know how much i can trust the reviews of the people there, but i trust you guys here in the forum!

Yo-Yo on the cuypstraat map
Media on the cuypstraat map
Greenhouse Tolstraat not on the map but not to far away from Katsu
Ibiza round the corner from Katsu (About 500m) was a good place but not been for a while.
This is a good area for CS so dont worry if you ask to see the weed first then if you dont like just say so then leave. cant say i have ever had shit weed from around here after all it is more directed at the locals.
Oh and if your into football dont wear a football shirt into Media!

I always stay fairly central obviously apart from Leid's or Rem's

My trips only last about 4 or 5 days so havn't really got the time to explore.

However I have worked in harlem and Henglo/Enchsede so know those places well the latter being an absolutly wonderful city.

Deppens what you counting central as? There are a few good shops around there Piscasso's being just one. In my first few trips there i stayed central mainly to get comfortable with the city. After that i tended to explore the outskirts, Paradox being my HQ most of my visit. I usually score a bag daily from Grey Area on my trip so i do also score in the central area.

I think it deppens on my state of mind, if i looking to mellow out and enjoy the quiter relaxed side of amsterdam i stay on the outskirts. If however i am looking for the party side of the city and the red lights i go central.

i like the centre, i love haarlemerstraat, and i love the rokerij, and i love being in and around the red light district.

in my trips, i try to find new or recommened places, be they central or further south during the day, and then i stick to the centre or one of the big 'pleins' at night.

I too am a massive fan of harlemmerstrat,I know most of the weed is quite pricey from the shops on this street but the sheer choice and quality is brilliant and the extra couple of euros certainly does not put me off.

I agree with m.c. Harlemmerstraat has some of the best shops any where in dam. Expensive: yes, but 99% of the time totally worth it. Even if you can't always find a place to plant your arse.

42 days to go (any one got a time machine I can borrow?).
even in the quietest moments...........
