Goin to dam on the 10\11\08 with the missus an need advice on types of weed to keep us goin through the days so we can see the sights, i used to be a decent toker but not any more (like a couple of joints a month lol) iv'e been to the dam twice with the lads last time was 11/04 but the missus hasn't..
we get to train station about 9:00 in mornin but dont check in to hotel till 12:00 (de westertroen any reviews on that would be great aswell) so got a few hours till kill so shall we get a weed first or some decent food or any ideas where we can get both at the same place would be even better..
We need somat that will give us an up lifting and giggly head not mashed so we cant do anything for the rest of the day lol.
And any general tips any1 got would be great..
think i want to try the Mako Haze first..

Head right out of the station and take a trip down HaarlemerStraat - always a good first destination whilst waiting for hotel checkin - bud wise there is a Dampkring, a GreenHouse and 2 or 3 Barneys down there so some of the best genetics in the dam on 1 street!Chutters wrote:

For food I would really recommend going to La Grotte (just up from Dampkring) - it's a toker friendly cafe type place - great food (much better than Barney's - don't fall for that tourist crap) and the 2 lovely sisters who run the place are really nice and friendly - it doesnt sell weed but you are welcome to smoke in there (sells booze though).

as jmac said you could hit the HaarlemerStraat and goto the new Dampkring (Deffo) or Greenhouse (Old Blue velvet) They have done a wicked jod on it but it gets Busy and the Bud is (Sorry people) Not that good. Barneys i dont bother with, but i do go to barneys lounge as its a better enviroment (My opinion ONLY). Also in this area you will find siberie which is okay for a visit.
If you are going straight to your hotel to leave your luggage before check in. Then you Have the Grey area (For some Takeaway) and if it sunny you can sit in the square round the corner and get high on your purchases.
Homegrown fantasy (CLOSES NEXT YEAR) is worth a visit although there weed is hit or miss.
If you dont want to get to wrecked stick to the sativas Deffo. You can go all day then.
OTHER SHOPS I WOULD ADD TO YOUR LIST would be.
Mellow Yellow (Orange Haze is pure Quality), as you said Stix, Katsu, club media, and paradox.
Get yourself a tram pass to visit some of these shops save on the feet.

'white butterfly' from rokerij.
last time i went, they had none in the central rokerij, so i hope this hasnt run out for good.
this used to be my staple day time smoke, my tolerance level has increased in recent trips, so now i smoke strong satvias during the day instead.
white butterfly smells nice and skunky, smokes well and tastes nice, but is a nice medium strength. perfect for a satfisfying but not too knock out smoke. dont get me wrong itll get you stoned, but not in the same way cheese or ak-47 will.

I'd go for Picasso's in that area, good friendly vibes & its a nice comfy place, good menu & some very good prices. I would throw up dampkring (formerly Floyd's) good location, has the dampkring menu with a couple of Floyd hangovers & the interior used to be comfortable, not sure what it's like after the revamp though, nice views up and down the street. Rokerji has a nice interior, not bought from there though.
