I believe a c/s was shut down because it had people in it, that were not carrying ID on them, hence us older timers getting asked for ID too. Not to simply prove we are over 18 but to prove we have ID (the id rule is apparently very pertinent if you visit c/s's). Only on my last few visits (this year) have I ever been asked for ID (I’m in my mid 30's).

I remember last year i was there for my 21st. I was barneys the guy in front of me in the que looked middle aged with a little grey hair and he got IDed but when he served me he didn't bother. I don't know if that was a slight on me tho. I think its your luck so its always good to have ID on you all the time.

When ever i go abroad to watch football, the home office always issue a list of dos & donts for which ever country with match tickets. When i went to Rotterdam in June to watch Wales play, the advise for Holland was to carry your passport at all times, but if you would rather leave it in hotel, do so & carry a photocopy.
