U-Roy you are my main man. Thats exactly the stuff i was looking for. Paradox is where i thought i got it from but the more i thought about it other shops like Flower Power La Turtulia (sp?) kept jumping into my mind!
This is what i mean by there being much better cannabis products available at a much lower price than places such as Grey Area Barneys and Greenhouse.

NO worries dude!Sir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:Simply saying to others that may also read the message over than you that its a majorly good idea to get out there and explore the coffeeshops which are out of the way a bit. For example i smoked some Northern Lights in a little coffeeshop in Utrect on my last visit ( its where an uncle of mine has relocated to.) And it by far was better than most of the weed i smoked in amsterdam, the best buds are usually the hardest to find.Master Oogway wrote:Ofcourse not visited all, but the best, yes.
That was my point that you could be mistaken if your basing that on the the few you visited. But ill aplogise for being sarcastic with you.
And i think i've got enough friends and experience in the dam to know where to go and where to avoid.
No offence meant to you and your abiltly to befriend the dutch people.
Regarding GA Cheese, if you saw my first september report you'd read me saying it was major BS. This week its one of the top strains in town. Beginning of the month i wasn't saying the same thing.
Far dues man i always read trip reports while smoking up so they merge into 1 occansionly.
COmpared Bluebirds Cheese with the others. Read my reports if you want the my pov on the differences, i clearly state my opinions. And note that i've been twice this month, so reports are of very very recent batches.
No worries ill check that shit out
ANyways, i have 2 reports out there for this month, check em out if you like.
See above
You have all my opinions and explanations as i'm starting to repeat myself!
Have you tried the chocolata hash? Im trying to find someone who has so they can redirect to the coffeeshop i found it in.
Unfortunately not tried the chocolata!
I regularly go to haarlem to pick up gear too, though on my last few trips, found the gear a bit weaker.....
I also regularly visit other shops a bit on the outskirts however, nnone has ever served me anything like the gear they had this weekend at the Grey Area, or the gear they had beginning of the month at Green Place.
Maybe i've been to the wrong places, but i've always found the weed at those local shops a bit weaker (but much mess expensive) than a top strain at GA could be (please bare with me as i'm not saying GA will always have the best gear! I only thought that 2 trips: Feb 08 and this last trip, i could also say Dampkring, rockerij,... but not barneys or greenhouse).
Last trip my fav shop was Green Place, and for me, that was a little known shop. Also, staying on green place. Why is it suddenly getting popular although know one knew of it a couple years a go? Because they had several crazy batches of weed for a consistent enough amount of time for enough people to agree on the quality of the gear.
Just to end yet another monologue ;o), I agree that one should not base themselves on just some Cannabis Cup shops (i f**** the CC), but should broaden their horizons.
I for one only use reports, cups, etc as a starting point.
Then the only things i trust are my EYES and NOSE!
I'd love to meet yall once! Sure the discussions would be more mellow face to face! for obvious reasons!!
ANyways, if anybody wants to show me better stuff than why i find in the coffeeshops i go to, then PLEASE do!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's all i'm asking for, no sarcasm or anything!

Hey guys!Kermit wrote:Man i have been looking for this reply. I thought i was going mad and somehow budder became Iceolator over night.Boner wrote:If butter hash is indeed Budder (like it's been suggested) then it isn't an icelator and isn't worth the price tag imho.
So Butter hash (Budder) is deffo Honey oil (Which is banned in holland) whipped up to get the air into it.
I have been trying it for a while now when scraping the last bits of oil up to smoke. Its not realy worth 50 euro but i fancy giving theirs a try to see how it differs from my own.
soz to go a bit off topic.
Nice1
Don't know what it is.....
BUT! I do loooooove Ice Hash, and do smoke ALOT of it in the dam although it's soooooooooo damn expensive.
All i wanted to say, is that that BUtter Hash from Bushdoctor was the stongest hash i smoked in the dam. I usually stuck to the 50€ waterworks from dampkring, but this gear was much stronger, weather it's worth the amount of cash or not. I i do know it's not, but i don't care when on holidays so long as i can afford it!

SOrry bout being way off topic, but while reading past trip reports, i found this:
I kind of agree. I do say kind of because i wouldn't at all be surprised if the more local shops carry a crazy batch from time to time. Or maybe even always (but why not sell it to poor me.......!!).
I also say "kind of agree" because i don't think that shops like GA & Dampkring (i don't like putting greenhouse in or barneys) are consistent. I mean last trip i found GA's gear to be UTTER BS! While this trip i found their gear mad!
However, the most consistent place for me is Katsu, regarding hash (bad weed experience unfortunately...). Morrocan Ice & Crystal Clear have been the same for ages. Major props to that!
Maybe you should share more coffeeshop tips (Sir Niall of Essex-sire, are you hiding stuff from us???! ;o)!!!) J/K!
Peace man!
Ash333 wrote:Yes mate, that makes perfect sense. You could also use the same analogy with pubs if you drink ale. Your local has say 6 beers on tap which are always on, of which maybe 2 or 3 are Ales/ You can walk in and order your usual without even thinking really. Thats a locals pub. Then you get beer festivals and specialist ale houses, where the cost may be higher, but you get a bigger selection of more exotic beers, which may be stronger or weaker - you dont buy them on strength, like a good bud - but on flavour etc...SoulRider wrote:Simple, if you want good, consistently strong, reliable and well priced weed, you go to a traditional locals place that will sell things like orange bud, white widows, good strong solid dependable reliable weeds. If you want SSH and mind blowing highs or stones, you need to visit the Grey Areas, the Greenhouses etc. A lot of locals may use them, but they are not locals shops.
The thing is you always know what you are going to get in a locals shop, very good weed, but if you want something special, something that will make you go WOW then a locals shop won't hold those kind of lines. They only have a few lines which hardly change because their regulars come in to buy their regular weed.
Try this for size, although it will probably come off really badly...
You go to a restaurant regularly, say a curry house. Now there are 2 curry houses you like. The one that you go to regularly and often, because its good, it's reliable, it's well priced, and you know you like the food.
Then you have the £80 a head restaurant around the corner. It does fantastic food, stuff that your local place doesn't do, but there is a trade off. It is very expensive, and pretty much an unknown quantity, because you don't go there that often. It is reserved for special occasions, because the food, and it's price, mean it is a special occasion thing. Same goes with weed. You can go to the Greeenhouse et al and buy the newer weeds that have come out since your last trip, then to the locals shops where you know you get your regular reliable everyday weed.
Does that make sense? I love locals shops, and personally after this trip, will pretty much only use local shops in future, but I'll explain all that when I get this diary finished
