Shit. Well good on the silly bitch tbh, the fact shes not bottled it completely after the Couric interview shows she got a little bit of balls. But like geoffk points out the Couric interview i think revealed she is extremely naive, un-prepared, lacking the political experiance and common sense that anyone could see she really just anit right for the job at all.NirvanaEJ wrote:sorry to tell you Sir Niall, but Palin whipped Bidens ass, he didnt even know who voted for what Bill in the senate (disclaimer: im not in favor of obama or mccain so im not biased) she was also a much more powerful presence on the screen. The only thing Biden had going was hes clearly more knowledgable on foreign policy. Oh and both of em are great at avoiding questions they dont like, or know the answer to! IMO, peace
Was you for Ron Paul? After seeing some on his interviews regarding a wide range of domestic American issues i was impressed with him?

I couldn't disagree more. They were both better than I expected but Biden was clearly more knowledgable about a far broader spectrum of issues, as he should be.NirvanaEJ wrote:sorry to tell you Sir Niall, but Palin whipped Bidens ass
Beyond that, how many times did Biden push Palin about not answering the question pertaining McCain's anti-regulation and deregulation efforts over the years, only for her to not answer it? The reason, of course, is clear: She didn't know what Biden was talking about.
Palin also pushed for expansion of vice presidential duties beyond constitutional limits (as if she's the one who warrants expanding them), and essentially said she won't be doing any more interviews because she doesn't like the media "filter." She said she wanted to talk straight to the public instead. In other words, she doesn't want her intellect crumbling under give-and-take examination anymore.
In the words of Gertrude Stein, there's no there there, as pertains Sarah Palin.
Just as an aside, I'll bet half the Republican stalwarts crapped themselves when she favored same-sex benefits as long as they do not impede on the traditional definition of marriage. How very Democratic!
yes i am for Ron Paul, hes way smarter than the other repubs, its too bad hes not officially on the ballot. but i refuse to vote for the "Evil of two lessers" so its a 3rd party candidate for me, prob Baldwin.Sir Niall of Essex-sire wrote:Shit. If it wasnt for the brits, ID BE DUTCH RIGHT NOW
CJ, i didnt say I liked Palin or that i was voting for her/McCain, I just thought she came off better on TV. IMO neither pair is fit as they will not bring fundamental change to the country. more lobbyists, more big govt, more private prisons, more big corporations. peace.

I dont know if it was originally said by Michael Moore, i heard it from someone in the Ron Paul camp, maybe Adam Kokesh, but its a good way to describe the two "major party" candidates.geoffk wrote:Ain't that a Michael Moore quote? I don't get TV channels, so I only listened on the internet. It sounded to me like Biden came out better. Maybe if you're watching Palin looks better. Guess I can't argue that.NirvanaEJ wrote:"Evil of two lessers"

Not banging on you, Nirvana, just your subjective opinion. Actually, I noted you were objective on the race and subjectively thought Palin kicked Biden's ass. I don't proclaim to be objective on the race at all but tried to view the debate subjectively and came away with a substantively different view of it, that's all. Peace to you, too.
As for Ron Paul, I'd vote for him too, if he had any chance. He's absolutely the candidate most in line with my views, period.
Unfortunately, in eight years since protest votes for Nader gave us Bush, we've traveled too far down the wrong path and must decide whether we wish to stay on it.
For what it's worth, CNN's poll of uncommitted voters had it 51-36 for Biden winning the debate, with 13 percent undecided. CBS' similar poll had it 46-21 for Biden, with 33 percent undecided.

She's Elly Mae Clampet and Rosanne rolled into one, or that's what the GOP party wants you to think. Just more B.S. but in a different package

If you never do, you'll never know.
Its funny you say that CJ because Fox News was talking about what a great job she did and told Biden off on things. guess it depends whos giving you the newscourtjester wrote: For what it's worth, CNN's poll of uncommitted voters had it 51-36 for Biden winning the debate, with 13 percent undecided. Agreed. It was nice to see some common sense being injected into a political campaign. But i was wondering if you are republican. 'Cos earlier you said you was coming from an un-biased viewpoint. But if you are a republican at heart would that not cause some bias?NirvanaEJ wrote:yes i am for Ron Paul, hes way smarter than the other repubs, its too bad hes not officially on the ballot. but i refuse to vote for the "Evil of two lessers" so its a 3rd party candidate for me, prob Baldwin.
Before anyone points out that i am totally biased. Because im coming from a total Democratic viewpoint. I would say im nearly as biased as Fox News, but i dont know if its possible.

Let Sarah enjoy her 15 minutes. She'll be a footnote in a month, another Geraldine Ferraro. She may go on to a grand Alaskan political career after this, but she'll never whiff another presidential ticket because she's too polarizing.
Has anyone noticed, by the way, how much women -- originally the backbone of Sarah's support, after her RNC speech -- have come to resent her?
Too many MILF remarks by husbands, I suspect.
