Man this is not working AT ALL.

All those legends (put some pepper around it....put some coffee...) have to stop.

Sniffer dogs will be acting like this:
1/sniff sniff mmmmmm....coffee!
2/sniff sniff mmmmmm....MARIJUANA!

They will smell ALL the different scents in the package.
There are many ways to confuse a dog, or contain the marijuana smell for an average time, but whatever you do, you CAN'T prevent a sniffer K9 to smell marijuana.

What if its inside you ?

The Di-Ann is a great little find!

The staff there are really friendly, and although they aren't overtly "smoker-friendly", because ALL the hotels have to obey the rules regarding smoking inside, they do turn a blind eye so long as you're discreet...

Ask for a room with a balcony and you're laughing. My single room had a little balcony with a couple of chairs and a table, so I'd make up my 'tings' in my room, and then step out to the balcony, pull the window/doors closed behind me, and toke up in peace. The balcony is sufficiently covered to be able to sit there in the middle of a rain storm and still keep dry... Good stuff.

The rooms are clean and have fridge, safe and a great bathroom - let's put it this way, I've not found anything better for the money yet!

You'll enjoy the stay there...

I've been to more expensive places and found them lacking compared with this hotel - you can store your bags after (or before) checking in/out, and as I say, the staff are really nice - Nadia, I think it is, is a real sweetie and she goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant!

Only one word of warning though... I hope you like stairs!

The Di-Ann has the classic Amsterdam "staircase of doom", which can be a little daunting if you're completely battered at the end of the night.

Oh.. and avoid the pisspot over the road called the Rockland. It doesn't deserve to remain open with the almost legendary bad attitude of the "staff" there - You've got the Gray Area almost within spitting distance and Amnesia just around the corner - much better weed and atmosphere!

Have fun!
