You have to remember that cannabis smoking/selling is only tolerated and the Dutch government are doing everything in their power to shut coffeeshops down, I'm happy to follow each and every rule they have in place if it keeps the coffeeshops open.

So would encouraging 16 yr olds not to go to amsterdam and attempt to get served even if they are asking for a way around it help your goal of keeping coffeeshops open?

I see what your saying in trying to help them out, i mean coffeeshops to me seemed to be based on the idea that if your going to do something and least do it in a safe enviroment i.e buying and consuming cannabis. And your offering them advice on how to do it safely underaged.

But i still stick by my advice that amsterdam is for 18 + only and anyone under that going out there with the intention to buy bud even if they are willing to try other methods first are acting in a selfish way.

I've been in a coffeeshop (think it was the old Pink Floyd) when a group of 3 or 4 young lads came in and were asked for ID straight away (the dealer was serving someone but broke off to sort the guys out) when they couldn't/didn't produce any they were asked to leave, I doubt any shop would get into any trouble for doing their job properly.

You are 16. Soz nearly 17! one of the requirments for you to enter and smoke in a CS is you need to be 18.
Another is you will require I.D showing your age if you are suspected of being under 18. You might not get asked for I.D and might enjoy many a long hour chilling in a CS. But to be honest if you have a love for Weed then you will respect the CS rules.
You are not going to pospone the trip so there is no point telling you not to go.Of course you are going to try and get your fix by any means possible whether it be try and get served or get some1 to get it for you.
Then what you going to do after you score? Hang around a street corner smoking a bong? You might aswell stay at home!

Yea i suspose but my faith in man kind is not so strong as i belive that they will not attempt it if other ways fail. Or that they wont just do it as soon as they get there. I stick by my oringal statement that their acting in a selfish and inconsiderate way. Although i can totally understand their want to go and smoking some of the worlds best bud in amsterdam.

Although i understand it i dont support it and i will say to the same to any other underaged person who asks for advice on how to do it. 18+ only dont ruin it for the rest of us.

sandinovive my friend, it appears that you have already booked your trip to the Dam so you can't back out now. I know I sound like an old fart here, but there are plenty of orther things you can do in Amsterdam to have fun, the Nemo centre is quite fun for young and old alike, or hire a bike, or pedelo around the canals.
Or (I'll probably get in to trouble for this one) save the money you were going to spend on pot, take a trip to the RLD and find the fittest babe there and and have the best 15mins of your young life
