Hemp Hoodlamb: Sustainable Winter Wear

Hemp Hoodlamb: Sustainable Winter Wear

Just in time for cooling temperatures, Hemp Hoodlamb offers a collection of men's and women's eco chic winter clothing and accessories. The collection includes coats, knitwear, hats and ear muffs which are all made from bamboo and hemp fiber, including the (faux) fur! The Amsterdam-based clothing company is a strong believer in the wonders of hemp, a rapidly renewable plant that can be made into extremely strong fiber. Which means that hemp is an ideal alternative for making eco friendly gear for harsh winters.

Since 1993, the company has sold stylish hemp urban wear out of their store, HempWorks. Hemp Hoodlamb is the company's in-house brand, started in 1995 to create a line of sustainable as well as comfortable and durable winter clothing. TO make this winter collection unbelievably soft and cozy, Hemp Hoodlamb integrates two other alternative materials: bamboo and soy fibers. The result is a line of coats decked out with practical functionality such as hoods lined with hemp for warmth and an exterior that wicks away water. Plus many of the jackets feature secret pockets to stash a mp3 player and earphones.

With a classics urban look, Hemp Hoodlamb has created a collection that is both fashionable and functional, making it a perfect environmentally friendly and cruelty-free alternative for winter.

I proudly wear a Hemp Hoodllamb winter coat. My favorite part is the rolling paper dispenser in the liner. They ain't as water proof as they claim I say from experience.

Nice gear, but a bit pricey I've found.
