A lot of my budget ends up being spent of souvenirs, so when you read my reports of going through 200-300 euros a day, there will be some bags of ganja and ciggies brought back, and I eat a lot. A steak lunch comes in a 30 euros...etc

That said, I remember my trip about a year back when the only bank card i had with me got swallowed by an ATM. I was left for the last 2 days with £50 that I happened to have with me... suddenly those 5-8 euro strains become much more appealing than the expensive hazes. If your on a budget the neighbourhood shops in de pijp will be a better buy then the big name centrum shops. Try Carmona, Club Media and D&L. Katsu can have good buys, as does (supprisingly) Dampkring if you don't get carried away.
