Hello - just got to Amsterdam
Hello
Just got in yesterday from the Bay Area, California and wanted to thank all who post on here, this site was a big help.
Im staying in the Geuzenvelt and dont have much to report yet other than that Cheech and Chongs seems to be closed - I still have jet lag so havent gone to Centrum yet, Ill probably hit that Saturday.
One question - can anyone recommend a good place to get cigars/cigarillos? I smoke cigars (without a mix;)) and all I have seen for sale so far is cigs or pouch tobacco. Ive brought enough with me from home to last a few days but Ill be running out soon (Im here for 13 days). Any suggestions?
Anyway, just saying Hello and thanks again...

Hi, welcome to the forum.
If you put yourself in Dam Square (De Dam) facing towards Centraal Station you should be looking up this street DAMRAK

If you then walk north, up Damrak towards Amsterdam Centraal Station and keep looking at the shops on your LEFT hand side you will find several shops selling cigars, and one or two specialising in little else but tobacco products. If you get to the Station, you've gone too far, turn back and try again.
good luck, enjoy your trip... dont forget to hit up grey area when your near dam square!

No Victim? No Crime.
The best cigar shop I've found in town.
