Amsterdam first time

Post by NoSuchThing »

Ok so I’m flying out to Amsterdam on the 16th and staying for a week at the Flying Pig Downtown. I going solo – I want a break. Friends are great fun, but sometimes one needs to get away. This will be my first time in the dam and I can’t wait. I finished high school this past spring and took a year off to travel around. I turn 19 a few days after my trip so I’ll pre-party in Amsterdam.

Any fellow cail medical users here? Just wondering how your experiences in the dam compare to the cannabis clubs/dispensaries on the west coast.

Is it too late to enjoy Zandvoort? I wanted to get down just for some sites and a chill smoke. But if it’s too late in the season then I understand. If not, what’s the best way to get there?

I had a question about blunts/cheap cigars? Do they sell the Dutch Master brand of cheap cigar in Amsterdam or should I bring some of my own? If so where would I find them? Here in America I find them mostly at local corner or liquor stores.

Thanks to all the members of this site, tons of really good info and discussions. I’ll try and post a trip report when I return and I plan to try and get menu shots of as many places as will let me. Do most shops care if you take pic’s?

Never been in a California med facility.

Can't answer your questions about blunts, either, but another post included the following map of cigar shops around Amsterdam, which you might find useful:

http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=na ... sults&cd=1

As for Zandvoort, you will need a jacket and can expect highs around 50 Fahrenheit, and windy, at this time of year. It's still worth a quick stroll by the North Sea and a trip to Yanks Coffeeshop, if that's not too chilly for you.

Many shops allow you to take photos, as long as you ask, and do not take any shots that other customers or staff do not wish taken.

cali vs. neder

Post by smokestaxlitenin »

the cali is very similar to the fine bud you get in the dam, some even better....

but the exotic stuff like hash, ice, butter is better in the dam.

of course, just one mans opinion....

:D
don't panic...smoke some organic....

Hey no such thing. Could you tell me what the atmosphere is like in the hostel when you get back?. I was there in June when you were allowed to smoke in the bar/stage area and i loved the atmosphere, especially on the stage with the cushions.

Ive booked up again for Jan 29th - 2nd Feb with the missus but im thinking of getting an appartment instead as you cant smoke inside the Pig anymore :(
