My mate showed me some weed he had the other day, the buds looked nice enough but were quite damp and gave off a slight smell. I couldn't put my finger on what the smell was but it didn't seem offensive. However when we dried a piece and ground it up the smell was stronger and reminded me of cheap perfume. So we bashed one up and the taste was absolutely rank - like walking past the fragrance counter in Boots and getting some perfume/aftershave in the back of your throat. Needless to say the joint was thrown and my mate was pretty pissed off with the useless bag full of weed in his pocket. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or have an idea why it tasted/smelled the way it did. I realise someone could have sprayed it with some perfume in a misguied attempt to make it seem more potent but I live in hope people aren't that fuckin stupid. Let me know what you think.

I'm afraid they are. That sucks. Just get the word out to all your friends and don't buy from that dealer anymore, it ain't worth it.

Sounds like it hadn't been flushed properly and was still full of the nutrients used in the growing process.

I always thought that would give the weed a metallic taste. Guess I'm luck I've never tasted unflushed buds.

There has been a lot of that going around here. Rumoured to be the chinese / vietnamese immigrants growing it ( a lot of them were busted here recently, came to NI as they were getting busted in England too often). Tastes absolutely foul. Only smoked one joint of it but never bought any.
