3 storey house 99 Euro a night!!

Post by jollylittlehun »

Well ive just booked up for 3 nights in January/February. Found a 3 storey house right beside Nieuwmarkt on craigslist for Euro 99 per night. Accomodates 2 people. Staying at the Flying Pig Downtown for the 1st night as we dont get in till 8:00pmish and I wanted to have a quick stop off to see how the pigs doing.

I will post a review of the house when i get back.

Hey guys heres the link

http://amsterdam.craigslist.org/vac/883223240.html

Looks like a really good deal. Jerry who owns the house seems nice. Quick to reply to emails etc.

Ive found a lot of really good deals through this site but this was the best one i found.

I might be missing something and all that etc, but a 3 storey house for only 2 people?. Is it a bloody lighthouse or something?. Just that I cant imagine any place for only 2 persons being on anything more than 2 floors!.

In Amsterdam a lot of the buildings are spilt so you have several floors but only 1 room per floor which is what this looks like, nice looking place though.

Nice looking place, I suspect the rooms are tiny and you are about to come face to face with the steepest set of stairs in the whole of A'dam!

Craigslist is also known for scammers taking deposits and vanishing. If it sounds to good to be true, well you know. Can you pay the deposit with a credit card?

I was thinking the stairs could be very steep but im up for the challenge... I think  i dont think the rooms are that small. 80m square i think. Doesnt matter anyway as theres only 2 of us.

I dont have to pay anything until i get there So theres no risk to me. Comes to 300 euros for the 3 nights plus 200 euro security deposit.

Im really looking forward to it. Always wanted to stay in a house in Amsterdam. Need to cancel my flying pig reservation but keep the first night. Wouldve stayed there the full 4 days but i think itll be a little cold smoking outside in January. Rather smoke inside.

Aye true. :P

Couldnt see me staying outside for more than 1 joint at time. I like lazing around with a joint in one hand and a beer in the other, plus it means i can smoke in bed, which is always good :P
