I've edited that line, it now reads 'Went out for a pint, then in 420 for a few joints'. Sorry about that, I think we had a pint with our food before hitting 420.

Well after we finally came down and slept, it was time for Day 2! Checking on our stocks and we had less than 2g

left after going wild the night before with triple pure fun cones :) Time for some serious shopping!

Day 2 - Mission Grey Area
=========================

Doug: "More mushrooms tonight!"
Me: "Nah, it wont be as strong, we should have got the Hawaiins the first time."

After waking we went for some food, back to Tivoli's I think for another awesome pizza and a pint. Then on to 420 to make a doobie before we began our trek to the Grey Area. Doug bought 2g of White Widow and we had a healthy one for breakfast. I wanted some Blueberry Cheese from somewhere, and Doug wanted to go to the Grey Area because he'd read good reports. So off we went!

15 minutes later, and a quick check of the map, and we'd been walking slightly off course. After correcting ourselves and walking for a while, we again were slightly off course. This went on for the best part of 45 minutes, which wasn't too bad because the views were nice and we were out of the crazy city center. However the views were becoming increasingly familiar as we went in circles trying to get on the right side of the right canal.

Finally we rounded a corner and saw Amnesia. The place is all done out in blue and silver, with mixers available on the counters and vapos to use. I almost ran up to the budtender, hoping for the Blueberry Cheese, nope not here. I thought I'd stock up on some Super Silver Haze: "I'll have 5g of SSH!" then I saw the box of buds and they didn't look as tasty as I'd of liked, plus I didn't want to buy 5g's without sampling the goods... "No make it 1g please.".

We sat inside and filled a small grinder full of the SSH and halfed it between two Joints made with blueberry/raspberry mixer (just to sample that). This was probably the least pure joint we'd made since arriving
(approx 40%). We sat outside because it was sunny and began to toke up our first joints since getting lost...
...
Wow...This smoke took the words out of our mouths. The taste was awesome, the stone was awesome. We smoked a half of our joints before I really wanted to just put it down. We laughed our boxes off at the strength of the Joint and the situation of being in the Dam on a sunny day with the world at our feet. I looked at my joint thinking 'I wish I could save you for later, without looking like a quitter', then I saw Doug looking at his joint with the same look in his eyes, we saw each others face and laughed our asses off before deciding to leave this populated place and go finish our mission to Grey Area.

We were a wreck at this point, blurry eyed, trying not to giggle like schoolgirls when the locals walked past. We crossed a large canal with the best view in the world, with a pub and I think a coffee shop right on the canal! I wanted to stay for a pint, the sun was lighting up the sky and the canal had a golden crust of light. The trees were glowing orange and yellow and you could see all the boats on both sides for miles. It was picturesque (forgot to get a picture as per usual). Doug didn't want to stop, in fact he didn't even stop to think about it, that man was on a mission to get to the Grey Area and was too stoned for distractions.

Finally we arrived and got in the queue for a browse at the menu. No Blueberry Cheese here either! Never mind, give me 2g of your finest crystals (18 euro per), and 2g of Amnesia. Doug got 2g Yellow Cab, smelled beautiful.

We had a joint in here, then wandered off back outside to see where the hell we had to go to get back on track to familiar territory. We decided to walk towards central because there were a load of coffeeshop dots on the map.

Doug: "Mmm cant wait for more mushrooms!"
Me: "Nah, not for me"

We ended up getting a pint right next to Siberie (I think). There was some live music playing, mainly double bass, bass, guitar and drums with the odd vocal thrown in. It was good, went down nice with our huge mugs of ale. The police showed up and chased the players about 30 minutes later, and at this point we were getting hungry and had missed the fact all the coffeeshops (probably with Blueberry Cheese) were all behind us. We went for some food and ended up in the usual 420.

In 420 we decided to complete our pot collection and I bought 2g of Nepal, lovely pliable smoke, not a brilliant memorable taste. Doug got 1g of Nevilles haze which was dark green, 1.8g red lebanon and 2g of Afghan. The afghan was gorgeous, lovely sweet tasting smoke. When we got to our table we realised the haze was full of seeds! Not brilliant, smoked one joint of this crap then left it except for filler.

By now we had a very nice collection of pot and sore feet. Another joint of something random from our piles of stinking delight, and we were ready for our afternoon snooze. We went back to the hotel, rolled a pure Joint then sailed off the edge of reason and into the abyss of a Dam Good Snooze (tm).

I woke up and realised it was dark. Doug was still asleep and I was having trouble waking him up. "Quick wake up! We'll miss our chance to buy mushrooms!" That did the trick, even though I didn't really want any more shrooms, lol.

We walked around the Dam looking at the smart shops, drinking the odd pint, and finally ended up in the Olde Church coffeeshop. We bought something here, dont' remember what lol. I know we smoked a decent joint while we watched tourists flocking inwards and heading into the RLD. After a while we decided to go back to 420 for a nightcap of pure J's.

When we finally retired to the hotel, we bought a load of 330ml cans of Heineken or something from the vending machine in the hotel at 2 euros each :( . We smoked a few fat ones, then one pure one. Outside some guys were expertly playing a kind of UFO looking kettle drum, very nice sound. Finally we found poker in english on the TV! 5 hands later and I'm fast asleep.

That nights sleep wasn't the best, I kept waking up. Maybe it was Doug sitting on the edge of my tiny bed hanging out the window smoking our pot that did it, I woke twice to find him toking. The third time I woke up he was asleep and I was refreshed...MY TURN NOW! I rolled a faily pure Super Silver J, smoked it out the window and fell comatosed back to sleep.

I woke up as I hit the floor! The stupid matress had decide to slide off in the night and drop me on top of everything we'd left on the floor - glasses, bottles, shoes, food. Luckily i landed softly, muttered some profanities  then climbed back on the bed to finish my snoozing.

Haha, if only it was my first time then I'd have an excuse :)
First time I arrived for 5 hours, 2nd time I went back a few weeks later for a week mon-fri. I think I prefer to get lost to be honest, it makes it an explorers holiday.
