I was lucky enough to meet this guy at Glastonbury

If any of you ever have a chance to see him at one of his shows...or even just read his book Mr Nice...you wont regret it.

He's a nice guy (b-boom tschhhh) ... my pal has an empty packet of Rizla signed "To Jamie, thanks for the smoke, Howard" ... we met him outside a venue in Glasgow before he was due to do a talk, we passed him our joint, naturally

I've read Mr Nice about 7 times, his follow up Senor Nice I've only read once but thats because it's more about his heritage than smoking/smuggling, I've seen him live once (front row slap bang in front of him) and I asked him for a chug on his joint which got the standard reply "sorry but you've got to support your local dealer" - the man is a legend.

Never seen it as an ebook anywhere, maybe DEA phone tap recordings will be worth putting on? http://www.howardmarks.name/multimedia/

I have never met Howard Marks but I have read Mr Nice a few times, great read. I was out in my local pub one evening chatting with a friend when the subject got around to Howard Marks, now I knew she had the same surname as him but had thought nothing else of it. Oh and by the way I live in Wales as well but not the same area as Howard comes from. Anyway she starts telling me of how her sister had done a family history search and it turned out they were second or third cousins of Howard marks. now obviously as tokers they thought this was extremely cool and I must admit so did I, well they decided to get in touch with him through his web site and to their amazement he sent them a reply, and said he didn’t know he had relatives in this part of Wales and could they send him any information they had on the family tree. As you can imagine they were so pleased with the outcome and have been in touch with him ever since and even met him once. What a top guy and on top of that he's Welsh as well. Long live Howard Marks.
