Where you stay

Post by Looneytunes »

So when you make your trips to the dam where do you guys book your accomodation through?

I have booked a cheepy hostel this time because I didn't really know the best place to look. I want a smoker friendly place next time with a TV in room but I don't wanna pay through the roof!

Any tips for places to look?

Thanks mateys...

Yo luney.

Its the same for me. I booked a hostel coz i couldnt find anything cheap and central, maybe coz i m by myself. I payed 18 quids ( 22nd of nov) and its central. But ill be in a dormitory, and im kinda worry... The 23rd ill go to brussels in the evening to see my fam and will come back the next day (23rd) at about 11 am in dam.

Someone know any good well located hotel for a single person under 40 euros?

I've stayed at the Stayokay hostel in Vondelpark a couple of times. Its non-smoking, but the rooms are clean and I like the location. You can even get your own room, if it's available. Pala put together a nice collection of apartments that I would look into. I'm pretty cheap when it comes to sleeping. If I'm with a group or my wife I'd go with an apartment. Apartments can be really affordable with enough people and it feels more relaxing than a hotel. You could book through this site and support it as well.

"through the roof" is a matter of opinion but i have enjoyed both my stays here and find the pricing reasonable considering what you get for it.

Bobs Youth Hostel - I last stayed there about 30+ years ago, but it's still there and it's got a CS in the basement, don't know what it's like now though and back then it was cheap :roll: . It does have a web site, just google it.
Can be found at 420, Illusia Road growing my own

Take a look at the list & reviews of "specialty lodging" which lists 2 hostels in its top 10 (of 55) for under 35 Euro;
