We Have Returned...yeah
Well we are back home in Florida. The last 2 days in Amsterdam flew by.
On Wednesday we went to Daapermarkt to look for supplies for our dinner party. We made mexican beef burritos with fresh guacamole and margarita's. Also I picked up some flowers for the table. I found a bouquet of white roses that would have cost $30 in the U.S. for 8 euro. We did really good finding things (like spices and vegetables, ect), but I had to make my own ice as I could not get any at the Albert Heign or the liquor store
Dinner went really well. Afterward we hung out smoking what seemed like spliff after spliff, still drinking what I can only now refer to as a Dutch margarita.
It really was fun to play 'we live in Amsterdam'. If only it could be so. I will say in the long run we saved A LOT of money renting an apartment (also not going to France helped I suppose).
By the way, we found our apartment on Craigslist. We paid 440 euro, which broken up by 9 days comes out to be less than 50 euro a day. However, I will say when I rented the apartment I was under the impression WE were the only people staying there. The owner of the apartment does come and go, as he lives there also, and his partner lives in the apartment downstairs so he is down there most of the time. We did not see a lot of either while we were there. Also the apartment had good wi-fi and no problem smoking weed. So it ended up being a win/ win situation.
We had a pleasent return trip. No screaming kids, and nobody kicking the back of my chair all the way across the Atlantic. But it is still always such a hard trip to make. So I guess it is good to be back home. Now we have 6 days till we move to Key West...I better get packing.
Thank you to everyone who read and posted comments. It was my pleasure to do, I'm just glad (and proud of myself) for keeping up with it. It is really a challenge, but I have enjoyed so many others trip logs on the forum, it was my way of saying 'Thank You'. I will be looking forward to reading the many logs that will pass before we take another trip down the rabbit hole.
Take Care.
Once I get moved I will post the rest of the pictures

No, that Colsfoot on the table in the picture belongs to the brother of our friend. I never actually saw him use that as a mix, only to roll a pure cigarette. For mixing in a joint I only saw them use Marlboro Lights that they broke a part then mixed and rolled into a spliff. We only smoke pure joints as we are both recovering cigarette smokers.Did you by any chance use the coltsfoot mixer? is it anygood, does it compliment or ruin a J, etc...??
Take Care.
