Salute to all Vets

Post by Puffin13 »

I just wanted to shout a BIG THANK YOU to all those men and women who have served their country and lived to tell about it. Today (Nov 11) is Veteran's Day in the usa, which is the reason for this post. From one vet to another, WELCOME HOME and I salute you. Salute! :D Peace n Love.

Heres to those with more bravery than i could i have, the sacrifices of those means we are in a position to debate the pros and cons of society and work towards social change as we see fit.

What gets me though...and i notice this on a daily basis in London...is how much of a lack of respect the younger generation give our elders.....not everyone...so please dont all think i'm stereotyping young people.....i just think now, if you were to be asked to go through what they did....with th resources they had......you would not last 5 secs!

I think this is typical, not just the "current" younger generation. On a similar note, I read that youth violence was greater in the 1950s, but reporting of it has gone up exponentially.
