Amsterdam India Festival opened today
November 12 2008

The first Amsterdam India Festival will be opened today by princess Máxima, on Museumplein square, at 7.30pm.

The Amsterdam India Festival is an all-round cultural festival, dedicated to India, with dozens of events in the areas of music, dance, fashion, photography, theatre, art, architecture and multi-media.
Theme of the festival is Blended Cultures, referring to the large variety of the different cultures which live together in India. A diversity which can also be found in the city of Amsterdam.

The festival lasts from November 12 to November 30, and includes various events in about 25 different locations.

Indeed there are completely different and also imo better. Travelling India is something everyone should do, after you spend the 1st week pretty much exculisly on the loo, its a amazing experience.

Im hoping I can go to something in the India Festival while Im there tho Im only there 53 hours from Weds 26th and plan on seeing Damien Hirst's crystal skull, maybe a documentary at the IDFA, pop along to the Cannabis Cup and do a fair amount of smoking, which may scupper the other plans, its all in the toke
