BACK AGAIN IN DAM APARTMENT VIEWS

Post by spliffythebear »

Back again in January 15 to 18th to sample the fruits of Dam.

I have stayed in Dam too many times..i love to smoke - from hotels to apartments so i thought i'd put my 2 pence worth in. All are rated on quality and price combined. IN MY OPINION. lol

Hotels

Victoria 7/10 - not free sauna, nice burgers on room service.

Inntel 8/10 free sauna

Crown Plaza - sauna free i think, shop in reception handy.

Krasnapolsky 5/10 one for the mum and dads maybe ?? only apartment for me.

Avenue - 6/10 - small clean and cheap.good location

AMD City Centre (AKA Cock City) 7/10 - clean, tripple rooms, cheap good location.

Apartments

Krasnapolsky Hotel Apartments - 9/10 - if you got the money ( very expensive - britney spears stayed here when she came to dam) great location (next to 3 bulldogs), hords of people walking past you windows all day all night, room service and all services available from hotel, hotel cleaners, outdoor breakfast area/ smoking area.. i stayed here 4 years running with mates and with my lady, ground floor apartment is best as has outdoor area . Great but expensive. Heard they have just been re-done so should be even nicer. Great if you want a apartment but want the hotel services !

Kinkerstraat 358

My favourite to date -- great area - quite a way out but worth the tram / bike ride ( even if the missus is on the back lol) yes not the hussle and bussle of the Krasnapolsky apartment, but everything is much cheaper (standard of living)and the weed ( IN MY OPINION ) is cheaper and better.
Kashmimr Lounge CS/bar which is great, is on your door step - open well late, macdonalds, coffecompany, albert heijn all close by - nice area quality apartment 200 euro p/n . Note - next to school so if ya staying midweek be prepared for 100 kids shouting at 9am playtime!! They ended up being my morning spliff alarm.

205 Reestraat Apartment

Great area euro 180 per night - okay for mates trip but my missus said it was dirrty and would not return!! BBQ Area on balcony, great sandwich/croissants/ shop underneath, not to mention CS Rokerij and CS Black Star & CS 136 close by.Also free friendly cat !!

Okay hope that may help you - well as i said back in the dam in Jan of 3 nights - any know of any great apartments they have stayed in.. please leave addys of, clean, up market (30yrs old now got standards) apartments only for 2 people, Surley you guys/gals got some gems ya stayed in ! Anyone stayed in this apartment above the coffeeshop in Harlem - sounds interesting...willie wortels or something ??

I have posted you on the January Whos In Town page.
Have a great trip.

I am in Haarlem as I type. I have an exceptional situation, the owner of the company I work for and good friend was born and raised here so I stay at his mother's house gratis. I don't know about apartments but there are several nice looking hotels in town.

Enjoy

Hi FlyByeNite

Read many of your replies browsing, hello!!

Your a lucky guy - very jealous! Don't get me wrong i love my life/style just wish i lived in holland not the UK! Work does not allow this, if it did believe me i'd be straight buying a house in Holland.

So i am a regular visitor.

I am attracted to Haarlem but ignorant about the area, i have kept to amsterdam over the 10 years i've been visiting Dam.

The past 4 yrs, i tried to stay further and further out of Dam Central, which up to now i've loved ! This time Haarlem maybe?

Thanks for the hotel info but i'm more a apartment lover.
