Couldn't agree more about 'Ong-Bak' either.

What a film!! :)

Also advise watching 'The Dark Knight' if any of you out there happen to be Bat fans.

I love the original Batman movie, for me Jack Nicholsons Joker is spot on to how I imagined (big fan of the tv series as well), I also really enjoyed Batman Begins I thought everyone played their part brilliantly and had high hopes for The Dark Knight so I paid a small ransom to see it in an iMax cinema so I got the best experiance I could and I thought it was very average and quite boring, Heath Ledgers Joker was good but I found him more amusing than scary and the movie was probably about 20-30 minutes too long for me, a lot of people say it's the best movie of 2008 which I really can't agree with I thought Iron Man, Wall-E and Let The Right One In were all better.

Sorry about the rant.

The Dark Knight is VERY overrated & I agree it's def not the best film of 2008.

Heath's Joker however is more similar to Joker you'll find in the Graphic novels & I thought Two-Face was also quite accurate to the original source.

The main problems I had with the film though was firstly Christian Bales 'Bat' voice. Everytime he spoke I cringed. :?

I also thought the film felt a little too hurried (like Batman Begins), but besides that I didn't look at my watch once!

I can't list an all time top ten, its just too damn hard.
Instead I'll say the last flick I saw that Left me astounded was Apocalypto
http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi1521942809/

Not a word of English and no famous actors but one Hell of a movie.
Endure

If you like foreign movies then I suggest you watch Let The Right One In http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/ - seriously one of the best movies I've seen all year (I watch loads tbh) and after watching it went straight into my top 10 favs.

I intend to have you, boy, even if it must be burglary

Too many funny lines in that film and I've got a thing for film scores - Whiter Shade Of Pale. INCREDIBLE!!!!!

Re The Dark Knight, I was too blown away by the actual IMAX sequences to even pay attention to what was happening half the time - the jumps between mega-high-resolution and 35mm were seamless... they're making a whole lot more IMAX movies with the actual IMAX cameras. I'm all for that, you can see the fucking pores on people's skin with those things. Mind blowing. I'll make a trip to the OMNI-MAX in Canada one day...

HL's Joker was a modern day Joker, grittier than JN's portrayal, I actually can't compare the two as it's a different take on The Joker and Ledger's is much closer to the novels like Monkey Man says... but I find comparing the two very difficult, if that makes sense?

Edit: Yeah, Bale's "Batman" voice... is he auditioning for Slip Knott or something? Fucking ridiculous. That must stop now before it ruins future Batflicks!

Oooh. Add Chopper to my list.

Why would I shoot a bloke BANG, then drive him to the bloody car and wizz him off to the hospital at a hundred miles an hour? It defeats the purpose of having shot him in the first place.

Aw, look. The bloke's been my best mate since 1975. We've had our fall-outs from time to time. It's no big deal. It's like... if your mum stabbed you.

Funny as fuck! In a dark & twisted way!!

Turns out they're calling it IMAX DOME now and there's a whole lot more than when I last researched. I meant the 1st one in Vancouver...

They have the worlds biggest IMAX and IMAX DOME in India, apparently. Surprising, I would have thought Canada or America would have been the location for that, with IMAX being Canadian 'n' all...

Get a smoke, pour a large glass of whatever yer poison is and settle in for a often hilarious film. The opening scene slays me everytime, Richard E Grant in top form!!!

The whole film feels like a speed comedown, without reaching for the razor blades.
