Newbie to the boards from NYC

After having read this forum for the past few months I finally decided to register. Have really enjoyed reading all of your posts, especially the travelogues. You seem like such a supportive and friendly community. I'm traveling with my mate to Amsterdam for 3 days over New Years. I can't wait, I'm literally counting down the days! It will be my second visit, his first. Will definitely post my daily reports. Hope you guys might also eventually help me out with some coffee shop recommendations.
