So last Saturday was my first time in the Dam and I met with Gapie and Beejun at 420. I really dug this place and the atmosphere. Great music. Gapie is a trip and if anyone really wants the inside dope (sorry) on this town try hooking up with this local guy. He took Beejun and I through the city and then led me over to Noon, another mellow place out of the way. We parted and I headed back to 420 DK and sat at a table with John Sinclair, though I didn't know who he was. By that time I was plenty fried, though, and ended up heading home early.

Monday was fun, too, meeting up with a diverse group of folks. Sorry I'm sort of a piker when it comes to weed anymore, I'm just an occasional smoker in the NL for work and I can't keep up with all the vapes and jays being passed around after I got my initial high on. You cuppers are serious and I appreciate you letting me sit in on the discussions for company. You seemed like an interesting lot and I would be glad to see you again after such a brief passing. There's a vibe in the coffee shop scene I haven't felt before, and I've been in a lot of bars and a lot of scenes over the years. I look forward to returning to the friendliness and ease of conversation. I have some good friends back in the states who visit Amsterdam every year or so, and they're trying to plan out a trip next year that will coincide with my likely return. I've been listening to their smack for years and it's nice to finally strap it on. So to speak. Our return will be legendary, I assure you.

So I'll be around weekends for the next 3 weeks; I'm not really trying to get as much smoking done in a short trip as a casual puffer more in search of interesting company.
