Britain is considering joining the eurozone as a direct consequence of global financial turmoil, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said Sunday....

no..."THEY" have decided....where's the referendum???? where's democrasy? how about asking the people!!!!!dummies...ask the netherlands people whther they'd prefer the guilder to euro....most i asked wanted the guilder back......bollox to brussels and it's toytown money!!!!! enough said on my part....i'm biased as i miss the good old exchange rates....especially the guilder :wink:

There are actually certain economic benefits to the Brits if we did join the Euro now- the low exchange rate actually helps to benefit our firms that export to the Euro zone by making UK made products cheaper abroad.
