Obama descends from Leiden pilgrims

US president elect Barack Obama is descended from the Pilgrim family Blossom, which lived in Leiden for years before heading for America, Leiden council executive Jan-Jaap de Haan said on Friday.

Obama is the seventh US president with Leiden antecedents, De Haan said.

Can you imagine, if he made his own pilgrimage, the looks on stoners' faces if he wandered into a Leiden coffeeshop?

That'd be brill, it'd be like harold and kumar escape from... but instead of smoking with bush it'd be with obama obviously lol
