Another report on this, from The Guardian:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/de ... rugs-crime

And another from AFP:

And Reuters:

And UPI:
http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2008/12/07/ ... 228633552/

Then again, how many times can you read the same crushing news?

to keep away organised crime, better and more controlls would be much better than just closing down brothels and coffeeshops.

I agree with Sh@dy: If the state licensed and regulated cannabis production and distribution they could eliminate the crime element altogether.

My guess is the big touristy shops would survive and smaller shops would get the ax.
My thoughts are free.

How long does it take once they announce something like this to actually go into affect. I go in Sept. 09 for my first time and would hate to go to a watered down amsterdam. Very sad.
