I love to fish. Has anyone tried the waters there? I know there are pike in holland, but how about amsterdam? How would you go about getting fishing gear if you don't take your own?

Now that's a pricey fishing license. If they are using it for conservation and keeping the fisheries and waterways healthy, then it is all worth it. I think a fishing license in Kansas is $18, Minnesota is more at $25, but they have major rivers and 10,000 lakes to care for. (it's actually 11,842 but Land of 10,000 Lakes looks better on a license plate :)
How am I not myself?

61 dollars for an out of state fishing license in Colorado. That's about 45E at current exchange.

How about fishing off the piers at Ijmuiden in the North Sea? I see them using heavy duty gear there and catching big fish.
