Andy,

Wes and I had a terrific time with you, Stan, Mike and the others that went along on our afternoon CS crawl. I hate that we were so wiped out from jetlag that we only lasted till 7pm...but I guess we did ok for coming in with no sleep after a 14 hour multi airport ordeal.

My biggest regret is that we got here the day you were leaving. I think perhaps we could have solved the world's problems given a few more days and a few more grams. One of these next times you come down here, you may have to let me know, and I could sneak away from home for a few days to smoke up. (I could tell the family I'm off for a week of medical treatment) :D

Anyway, thanks again for helping to make our first day in the Dam very welcoming and it helped us to ease into the scene better than we would have on our own.

The pleasure was all mine. It was an enjoyable conversation. I'd also like to apologise to Laidbackfreak and Wife, I was more than a little stoned when we met, and consequently, I was talking out loud thoughts in my head, so sorry for an extremely boring, and what must have seemed crazy conversation, I'm not always that stoned

Great few days man – you’re a true Stoner. The Terminator does what it says on the lid, I’ll save up and buy my own next trip rather than using up your supplies – still did buy the last few rounds of coffee but that barely makes up for it.

I think we nearly solved world hunger but I forgot the details. Do you still think the ants on David Attenborough ‘Planet Earth’ are that big? Golden Soles is not good for your eyes and that is not a trick of the camera.

Oh and have you heard from Popeye?

Keep in touch.

No worries the pleasure was all mine, I bought the terminator solely because it is easy to share with people, I mean, i wouldn't want to smoke all that myself now would I........... OK, so you know me better than that, but I still bought it to share even if I could have smoked it all myself ;)

I am convinced they are that big, but I need to try and remember which series it was, I think it was living on planet earth, but cannot remember, damn terminator

I haven't heard from popeye yet...

Updated a couple of pics, but I'm really waiting for others to post their trip reports, as while I can remember much of them, I can't remember which way round they were. 4 days spent almost entirely in 420 left me with very interchangeable memories, all punctuated by Terminator and David Attenborough nature documentaries.

Entertaining, informative, inspiring.

Thanks for the effort, I am inspired to journal my trip so I don't lose so many details in the 'haze'

Tuesday 30th December

I woke up. That was an achievement in itself. I was up quite late for me, 12:30pm. The last 2 nights have been hell with this Junkie in the bed beneath me. He keeps himself in a camp of sheets almost all day, gets up in the evening, goes out for a few hours, then comes back and is in his camp all night.

While others think he is just wierd, I know he's a junkie. I have been sitting here for the last 2 nights to him constantly cursing that he's too high, and he's taken too much, and he's hot, Jesus he's hot, now he's cold, so fucking cold.

It was driving me insane, but it wasn't without it's highlights. Sunday night he was scurrying around looking for something to try and bring him down some, and he couldn't find it. As he became agitated and started becoming frantic, he hit his head on the underside of my bunk.

Ohhhhs and wails of pain followed by mild cursing of himself, before he calmed down and started looking again, I was trying to surpress a giggle. It wasn't long before he got carried away and frantic again, and decided he needs to get to the toilet, as he moves I hear the loudest whack I have ever heard, he had hit his head again. This time it was a whack and a half, and now I was trying to surpress a roar.

The wails of pain where hilarious, one second moaning about his head, the next that he needed the toilet, the next he was going to be sick, now he is working himself up more and more agitated. He eventually calms himself down by a wonderful monologue of coaching hints...

OK Just calm down, ohh my head. Now just steady, i've got to get to the edge of the bed, I need the toilet but i can't hurry, just keep it calm, right now roll over towards the bed, not too fast, ahh my head, no just calm, right, I can do this...

It just continued until Right, now if I can stand up, I can do anything, all I've got to do is stand up and then I can do anything. After 30 secs of grunting and coaching himself he gets to his feet. Within 5 secs I hear, Ohhhhh followed by thud, he's fallen over. It took him another few minutes to get up, about another 5mins to get out of the room, at which point I burst out into full scale hysterics, and another 20mins before he came back.

I made my way out to Hill St Blues on Warmoestraat and had my breakfast fruit shake - Pinapple, Mango and apple juice with spirulina. Chilled in there and knocked back a couple of spliffs from my stash, still unlabelled, and relaxed.

About 2pm I head off to the 420 cafe. No meet and greets on, but I want to go and have a Vapo. When I get there it's pretty busy, but I manage to get a place at the bar, order up a drink then once I've made the area my own, head over to the bud counter. Ask the man what's good (now here I have to make a very big apology. I have spent an age in this place on this trip, chatting to all the guys and girls who work here, and I can still only remember the names of Steve and Jane. Despite having only spoken to Steve twice. Odd, I blame the distracting nature documentaries  )

Anyway, having been very impressed with the Neville's the other day, I was quite surprised to be told that the Neville's wasn't that good in this batch, but both the diesel and Super Silver Haze were good. That settles it then, 2g SSH and 1g Diesel. It started with a vape.....

Chatted briefly to some people at the bar, and was eventually approached by a young lad, who I had a great deal of trouble understanding (I was stoned, He was scottish, and stoned). When my head cleared as I concentrated, I discovered this was popeye from the forums. He is staying in Rotterdam and getting the train up to Amsterdam each day. He was on a recon to make sure he found the place for the NYE meet, I believe.

He recognised me from my photo's, ohh, I'm famous . We had a good chat and spent a couple of hours smoking.

Heading on back to the hostel to wrap up a bit warmer, hooked up with Leo again, then off to Basjoe. Spent a couple of hours in here, and bought myself another 1/2g of Terminator, as well as some more cheese. The place started getting crowded so we sidled on out to let the people fight for our chairs ;)

Back to the Hostel and another fine smoke off. Then to bed.
I am being more detailed in the bits I can remember, because the bits I don't remember very much about are very short :)
