And your plans now include 4/20, correct.
If that's the case all you have to do is make the M&G's and you won't be alone unless you choose to be.

Plans revolve around the 420 M&G, everything else is icing on the cake. 8)

[ :D I went alone a few weeks ago to Amsterdam...I am a woman, blonde, attractive, middle aged...look quite a bit younger...bottom line. Totally safe, was out and about at night, early AM, everyone totally cool...Someone even lent me their cell phone to call the states when mine wouldn't work...complete stranger...LOVED being in this most safe of all cities...GO you will love it!

Hi all,

New to the board here but longtime "part time stoner." I'm interested in traveling to the Dam but most of my friends aren't into the pot thing or are just too broke to make the trip. I'm considering going solo but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Question: do posters here hook up often? And generally how does it work out? How many of you guys would take the trip alone?.. Thanks

Yes they do hook-up and most of the people have positive things to say about the MnG. Normally when time gets closer PM's go back and forth, maybe a cell # is exchanged, what coffeeshop they'll be in and the time. A few people online here, live there and would be more then happy to hook-up, smoke a bowl and say Hi. I've went 3 times so far without the wife, had a great time and meet some real nice people.

Thanks for the reply AZ. I wonder if any of the coffeeshops will be showing the NBA- I'd love to watch a repeat of last year's finals...j/k

Ha, I'd like to think the Lakers could take the Celtics this year. I was pulling for them last year. They certainly could have used Bynum, hopefully he comes back this year. I think they should have tried to acquire Artest in the off season, but thats just me.

I've been to AmDam 4 times since 1999 and only once was I with a friend. Going solo again for two weeks in March/April. Side trip to Austria and possibly Germany.

Just go for it! You won't regret it!

I think they have a better chance this year of winning it all that's for sure. They have a better bench this year with Ariza and Powell stepping up along side Farmar and Vujacic. And Pau Gasol has been playing hugh this year. If L.O. can be more consistent they'll be fine. Having Bynum back would be a nice plus though. We'll see.

That will be the key right there. He's a beast some games and then others it's like he's not even on the floor.

Good call, but when that f#%king little green leprechaun has more NBA titles then my team....I'll keep my comments to myself.
But, maybe it's pay back time this year.

Meeting people even outside a MnG is easy. You see a table with an empty chair, ask if you can sit there, if they look cool. Usually people are fine with you joining in. They're probably tourists looking to meet new people too. Sit down say hey. Sometimes a good convo follows, sometimes not. With the smoke flowing people are usually talkative and friendly. It's not like a bar scene where you're trying to pick someone up or getting sloppy drunk and sentimental. Since I'm married I'm not looking for that, just to meet cool people. This one guy talked my ear off for awhile and I got to realizing he had nothing positive to say about anything. Couldn't wander off fast enough. In another case I met some really cool folks, like John Sinclair. If you are a smoker and don't have serious socialization issues you should be just fine.
