You get a visual haze, like many good sativa's, but the effect on audio is amazing too. I think, for me, the most amzing part of the high is the total feeling of love that washes over you, it is like a mini trip in that respect, you love everything, and you get a nice visual haze, but not really hallucinations, none more so than any good strong sativa. Audio hallucinations definitely, makes music wonderful to behold.

That sounds amazing!! I guess you have to just smoke more of it since it's not that strong .

there is some decent purple bud that comes out around austin, tx every few years...not called purple haze but has some touches of purple throughout. nice but nothing special IMO.

In my honest opinion, i think people put too much emphasis on purple being a factor in how good weed is. its purley a visual thing.

this purple colour has been harnesed by weed growers in the same way florists have created colours of flowers.

during summer you will quite often see a purple tint on the odd flowering nettle if you go out for a walk in the country. the purple is purley a gentic mistake/throwback occuring in the plant. it doesnt make the nettle sting any harder or less.

as i said before, in a grow of ten plants, one of the plants came out purple, this was simply a gentic throw back (possibly a purple plant in the family tree, or a genetic mutation). the weed, although very pretty and purple, was exactly the same strength and taste as the rest of the weed.

Fair enough, but does it smell or taste like cats piss? That would really put me off!

I do hope it has some trippy effect though. The cheese from Dampkring had a mild trippyness to it

honestly, i cant vouch for its trippiness.

(soul rider clearly knows what he's talking about too, when it comes to weed, so take my argument with his. he seems to like the stuff, id rather have a nice green. at the end of the day this stuff effects everyone different.)

it DEFINATLY doesnt taste of cat piss.... the stuff ive had from dam tastes of out door grown weed, which is a perfectly acceptable thing. it gets you high, and it does the trick. i think the last stuff i had was from rasta baby.

It's like anything, genuine PH is a real favorite of mine, but it is not as strong as the current weeds. Again the 'trippy' elements are subjective. Yes there is a visual element to it, but there is to the Laughing Bouddha and many over quality hazes. In fact, as I think about it, the Laughing Bouddha is pretty close in terms of the audio/visual sensation, as is Resin haze, but for me personally, it's all about the emotional uplift. It makes you high in a happy love the world way, and nothing else I have found in Adam gets close to that, but then, that doesn't mean it's not out there...

The stuff I used to get consistently I'm sure was the real PH.
It came in compressed Thai brick form, so obviously imported.

Got it often in late 90s before it was considered weak.
Say it's around 10% like good Choc thai or something.
Really I remember the buzz being very comparable.

It did totally reek of this weird cat piss smell.
The taste was not bad though, again really standard sativa dominant stuff.

Back in the day the stuff was only a bit more expensive than bad hash so I was happy to smoke many oz.

Tbh from that period I remember choc Thai being the best of the imported weed though.

Was interesting though cause that stuff wasn't freak, it was consistent.

Think the stuff was very close to Thai though, and very interesting smell.

Had Purple Haze a couple of times and its the worst weed ive smoked along with some thai i also got in the dam. Im not a heavy smoker at all, but i reckon i could smoke reefers of that stuff all night and not feel very stoned. Not all purple plants are bad as i had some Purple Kush recently and it was very nice.

If you compare Purple Haze to thai, they are similar kinds of strengths, but you cannot compare Purple Haze to the current weeds in Amsterdam.

It'b be like comparing Lambrini to Champagne, I honestly advise people, if you are looking for a weed like the rest of the weeds in Amsterdam, do not go near Purple Haze, you won't like it, however, if you like Thai strength weed, then try the Purple haze, but I would advise to buy it around late summer/autumn, it's at least a bit better grown then, as it's an outdoor weed.

Really, what was the point of that? we've already established its inferior, I just wish you could smoke it at least grown indoors. That way you get to experience the high.

This will not get you wasted, or stoned, it will just make you feel happy. that is it, happy and in love. It is a very different smoke please, if you are looking for the typical Amsterdam fare, just stay away from Purple Haze.

It's all about personal taste at the end of the day. It's all subjective, this is one of my top five ever weeds, you don't like it, that's the way it goes

not all outdoor is bad if grown in a proper climate.aka northern california. correct e if im wromg

Is this not a topic with Purple haze? So why would he not give his opinion about his experience about Purple. Is his opinion not welcome? I would like to think his experience is just as important as yours even though it may vary from your opinion. I was with him when we got this from Kashmir and to be honest it was not very good. But like you say it is all subjective to personal taste and his was he did not like it.

Purple haze, thai and most outdoor grown buds are the high i desire from cannabis. More natural rather created through selective breeding. This is no way means that i dont enjoy the kick your arse buds which are about Trainweck MMG etc. But as a constant everday smoke i would prefer a well grown outdoor Thai.
